We should bring him back into the fold. Let him play in the D-League and develop as a 3pt shooting defender- although we probably don't have to sign him for that.

Ha ha, his nickname should be "trade filler". Poor guy keeps getting thrown in to make deals work.

The problem is that his NBA defense has never lived up to the hype his defense got in college. In fact, he's been very pedestrian defensively, coupled with his offensive inaptitude. The best thing he can do is hope some team in Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Israel or even France, gives him a contract and he can work on both his shooting and his defense for a year and hope he can crack someone's line up after a good summer league next year.

Wouldn't necessarily be opposed to bringing him in as a non-guaranteed training camp invitee though.

I think Sixers need to add another SF, but hopefully it will be someone with more credentials and some veteran experience - Michael Finley would be ideal, but even someone like Ira Newble would be preferable as would Quinton Ross or even Luke Jackson.

If he has a guaranteed salary maybe he will end up doubling his minimum by signing with a team that actually wants him for more than filler. I actually think he could be a decent late bloomer (Bowen/Bell) type in a few years if he sticks with it. I do imagine this kind of roller coaster could start to mess with his mind- Again I'd be happy to bring him back as a developmental defender/shooter if he's willing to earn an NBA contract primarily in the D-League.

BJ is not yet a lock down defender because it takes a few years to learn to be an NBA level defender- not because he lacks the tools or the desire. Given minutes I think he still could develop into a lock down defender with his length and quickness- but it emains to be seen if he ever gets those minutes.

Its really a shame he has been cut again; but there's something that has to be the issue when a guy who was lauded a hard worker cannot seem to stick with teams. Not everything can be a numbers game; I wonder how him mentally at this point.

Hopefully, he will be a late bloomer; but you only get so many chances to be one of those in the L before you are done (or coaching)

So many world records are being set recently with the Olympics and **** i think we should look up another one. Has a player ever been cut by a team while hes on the plane on the way over?

I completely lost track of what team he was on last year and then I saw him warming up for the Heat at a game. I hope some team like Charlotte signs him and sticks with him for a full season.

I think his initials suitably sum up what his most lucrative, ensured job will be.

That's not called for.. he played in this town for one of our schools. On another note, I guess we don't have to worry about getting Finley anymore, huh?
