Longtime fan of this forum and the insight you all provide. I'm an oldhead who remembers reading about the Moses deal in the paper as a kid and thinking, holy balls, the 6ers just traded for the reigning MVP. Anyway, although I'm assuming its a forgone conclusion that EB wears #42, I thought it was intersting that Shav is still a 6er and the current owner of #42, AND that we just signed Theo who wore/wears #42, and is also listed on sixers.com as #42! Don't believe me check it out...

Well I don't think that Shav will be returning this year. Pretty sure he was renounced so that we could get Brand. And as for Theo, I'm sure he'll understand and let Elton take 42.

Out of all the jersey numbers, why do 3 players (going to be 2) end up having #42? Eh.

They sent out signed #42 Brand jerseys to all new season ticket holders didn't they? He's got the number. NBA.com just hasn't updated Theo from when he was on the Pistons probably.

FINALLY found a replica in black at the KOP mall (BC Sports Collectibles).

Shav was renounced and will not be back period now. The jersey will be Brand's to wear without any problems. Plus I'm sure Brand could have convinced Shav to give him the jersey. Brand could have offered Shav a few bucks that he would have gladly taken.

Any guesses as to what number Theo is going to wear this summer? Has he ever worn any number other 42 on another team or in college???

EDIT: I did a little research and found out that Theo wore the #50 while he was with the Celts. I imagine he'll wear that this season.

Who is this "Shav" person that everyone keeps talking about? Did Shav play with any team in the summer league? If not, I imagine he'll be headed to Europe which, given the exchange rate, might not be a bad thing for him.

i miss shav i actually liked him. he coulda been an asset for the team this season. best of luck to him. we got a better #42 now tho
