Who knows if Andy Miller is a relative to Andre Miller, but what a huge shock to us all to see that Miller has hired an agent this soon. As TGP suspected, I had thought he would've waited until the last day of contract negotiations. So this comes as a huge shock to me.
One of the things that got my attention is when Andy said: "As far as his own future, Andre's waiting until we've all had a chance to do our due diligence."
It comes to mind that Miller has been moved around so many teams that he does want stability. Yet at the same time, doesn't want to make a grand verbal commitment because if he does and they move him, major ouch.

Well.. if he's got an agent then I'm sure ES is trying to lock his boy down to an extension.

As long as the deal isn't TOO long (no longer than 3 years) then he wouldn't be going anywhere, he's exactly the type of PG that this team needs.

It would not shock me if Ed went hyper and signed Miller to a 3 year deal before opening day and then tries to sell to Philadelphia that it was a great deal. Miller is a solid player, but he is not a young player. Two years are the most years I would give him. I would not be in a hurry to sign Miller. Try to play it cool, Ed. I know you have itchy fingers for action, but sometimes too much too soon can cost you.

Have to agree with you on no more than two years.
