Kevin Ollie Appreciation

Post#1 » by Fire BK » Thu Oct 2, 2008 7:34 am

Happy trails to K.O...... who signed with the Wolves.

I'm definitely happy w/ the PG depth of Miller / Lou / Ivey.

Who knows, K.O. could always swing back around for a third tour of duty with the Sixers somehow.... If not, I've always like Kevin Ollie's professional approach, veteran leadership and reliable outside shooting. He's a solid player with great character, and I wish him well.

I have fond memories of K.O backing up A.I. on the finals run of 2001... Quick trivia — This still leaves the current roster with ONE member of that 2001 Finals team... Who??? —[Theo]—

Thanks to Stefanski, we might be ready for a new Finals team... Cheers, K.O.

KO seems like a great guy to have on a young team as a solid veteran presence. That said, it's a bit of a shame that he was here during some pretty bad years and won't be around when the team is projected to do something.

The Wolves now have 3 players that were on our playoff squad from last season. I wonder if Shav in now on their radar as well.

I think we might see Ollie back here in the future...as a coach. If there was ever a player who seemed destined to be at least an assistant coach it is K.O. He made a decent career out of very little in the way of physical skills and a lot of heart and brains.

I'm gonna miss the guy. He wasn't anything special, but always meant business when he came into the game. He knew his role, and played hard every minute he was on the floor. Not to mention a decent defender and a great leader/example.

Thanks for your time Kevin..

Not a bad signing for a young team. Ollie came to work every day during his tenure here and did whatever was asked of him.

OOOOOOOOOH

He may have not been that great
but there is one sixer that I can't hate.
Iggy tends to come up lame.
Sammy is a emo and Willay will lose thegame

Lou plays outta control.
Reggie struggles to put the ball in da hole.
Miller's range is as short as Smith's wingspan.
Thad handle sucks, got damn,

in the last year we have lost plenty.
A sharpshooter, and a guard....I think he wore twenty.

He who dunkz hawd and mr melty face.
But the man here was no disgrace.

So heres to you mr kevin ollie.
you didn't play much and when you did there was often a follie.
But you played with such grace we could be soory tho,
With your badass looks and stache that rivals mario

Though you weren't the greatest player I have ever seen.
