Hey everyone,

Over the last few weeks I've been working on some ideas for graphics to be used in game threads. I thought I'd post a few and see what you all think. Let me know what you like, don't like, suggestions, etc.. I'm not sure who takes charge of these things, but if you want to use any of these, let me know..

I like the very 1st one.

Definitely don't like anything with AI2 in a #4 jersey.

From the headers, I like the 1st one and the 3rd one. I like all of the rosters, they all look very good. sec-106 is right though, you might wanna change the # on Iguodala's jersey. Good job on the game threads man, they look nice!

You will do this for every game all season? That is going to be annoying having adjust everything for every game. More power to you if you want to though.

1st is the best imo.

Hey Kanga - great stuff - heres my thoughts:

The 1st header is great! - I think you should use that one
The second header is good just slightly plain
The 3rd header has a texture that I dont like - I think it distracts from the logos too much
The 4th is pretty cool too

The 1st roster is good its that the words are too small
The 2nd roster is my favorite
The 3rd rosters vertical look is not bad not not good either

All in all kick ass job

I like them all.. Will be cool to change it up for different games.. Nice work.

They all look good, but the first two look nice and clean. Very polished and professional- you are a good graphic designer.

I agree that mixing it up would be interesting and help keep it fresh.

Same, I like them all except for the 2nd Header...

Also, I think the roster pics should be ingame action pics, instead of the players posing.

B) Have I found my replacement for game threads? Are you willing to step up and take over the j-o-b from here on out??

I think he was going provide the graphics to you, and then you would just apply them for every game. Least thats what I recall you two discussing...

- My personal preference is Header #1 and Roster #2 or 3... although im not sure they go together.

- Thanks for spotting Iggy's wrong jersey #.

- I agree in-game photos are best.. a) i couldnt find good ones of new players (Brand, O'Neal, rookies) and b) I slapped these together fairly quickly in between spurts of actual work. I've got an easy week coming up, so I can devote some more time to them. New ideas are welcome.

- I have these all saved as high-res .tifs that can easily be adjusted for each game. Setting up the template took the bulk of the time, so I don't mind making what, 82 variations.. probably less.. If we use the first header, I already have "buttons" created for every team.

-TGP: Maybe some time down the road when I am finished with grad school, I will take over game threads... But with my schedule I just don't think I could keep up. Plus, my predictions for each game would be way too optimistic. I'd be glad to somehow get you the images ahead of time for you to post. PM me if this works for you and we can discuss how to transfer images (email maybe?)... can i respond to PMs?

One thing I would like to see is all Sixers players in home jerseys and if they play on the road the away jerseys. I think it looks even better if all players have the same jersey colour.

I like all of them. Especially the First and Last ones. You and TGP working together ensures great game threads .

I really liked the 1st textured option. Maaaaad cool.

And the 3rd roster thing looks the best, IMO.

Alright... sounds like a plan. As said before, having you as a member of this board has flat out improved not only the overall quality of graphics but the comedic factor as well (see the Clippers forum and your B-Diddy post).

As for PMs, you can't reply to any of them which is beyond brutal. Hopefully this issue will get fixed sooner than later so I'll send you a PM with my e-mail address. From there, we can work out the details of whatever and bam... this board will have some sweet game threads going.
