How sweet is it to not have a break between Phillies and Sixers seasons, for once?

And to that... I say, "SHA-BANG!!!"
Wow... this is BY FAR the sweetest game thread on any RealGM board.
My Prediction: Sixers by 5+. I don't think we'll look all that great but we will pull out a win. By the way, if the Phillies do NOT play tonight and play on Wednesday... this game will be moved up to a 6PM start time!

Looks like the start time for this game will be moved up to 6pm. The Phillies game was moved from tonight until tomorrow night due to the weather. I have 4 tickets for opening night that I will now not be able to use and am pretty disappointed about. If anyone is interested in going, please PM me. I'm only looking to get face value in return.

We're almost there!!
Looking forward to a Sixers win to shove in the face of the Raps fan I'll be watching the game with.
Sixers by 7, with both teams scoring in the 100s.

Why can't you go to opening night now? Do you have Phillies tickets? If so... you're making the right decision.

My Dad got two tickets for the Phillies last night. Obviously have to head back to CBP tomorrow. It's just ashame that I'm going to miss the first Sixers game. Been looking forward to it all offseason. Hopefully a Phillies victory will be well worth missing the game.

According to Peter Gammons, while he thinks they will get the game in tomorrow night... he did say there's a chance that the game gets pushed back until Thursday because the weather may not clear up by then.

Ha! I think I'll hold onto those. Thanks though.
Just spoke with a sales rep for the Sixers, game time officially moved to 6pm.

Out of curiosity Sixerboy... where are the tickets? How much are looking for them? And since you have four seats, are you willing to split the tickets into pairs or do you have to unload all 4 at once?

The seats are in Section 224, Row 10, Seats 17-20. They are the seats right next to section 201 which is center court. The tickets are $45 face value, but I bought them as part of the flex pack, so they cost me $35 per ticket. I'm just looking to make my money back. I'd prefer to sell them all together, but would consider selling two.

I'm going to the sixers game tomorrow. Is there a big screen outside of CBP to watch the Phillies? I was wondering cause it'd be nice to just walk over there after the sixers game to see the final 3 1/2 innings of game 5. I really don't want to miss too much of that!!

I read something in the paper last week about the Wachovia Center being open to the public following the sixers game and people could watch the Phils from the screen in there.
By the way, apparently Cheeks is considering starting Rush over Young tomorrow (see six shots at bottom). Better not be the case, I can deal with Speights being inactive to start the season, but I have a problem with Rush starting over Young.

If this is the case then I'm going to the Sixers' game. I guess I can contact the Sixers' PR department to see if this is true. I'll be sure to post what I hear.

+1.
Awesome game thread, Kanga.... TGP left big shoes to fill, but this is a phenomenal start... Didn't notice about Parker's jersey 'til you mentioned it. Very sharp.
Let's hope some mojo from the ballpark floats into the Wachovia Center... Here's to a special season for the Sixers.
