Does This Team Have Entitlement Syndrome?

Seriously, this team plays as though they deserve to win just by stepping on the floor. At this point in the season, they're a paper tiger and that's about all. Brand seriously does NOT fit into our scheme. I know he can put up decent points but transitioning to the half court game to fit Brand has totally taken this team off track. And where the hell is Louis Williams, our saving grace last season? He was the one who could put up points when it counted and take over games late in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Now he barely even plays. Worse yet, he's been replaced by Willie Green.

Again, this team plays with a chip on their shoulders that they haven't earned. Outside of Dalembert and Young, these guys aren't showing up to play. Absolutely NO effort on defense whatsoever. If I were Cheeks, I'd have benched the most of the starting lineup after halftime and let Williams, Speights, Rush, Sam, and Thad take most of the minutes. The starters for the most part don't deserve to see minutes - especially Iguodala, who bitches like Kobe but was outplayed by Bogans for God's sake. And once again, Miller has started yet another season out of shape and unprepared. This guys takes two months before he's in game shape and that's unacceptable.

I know it's early but at this point, I think Stefanski needs to have a sit-down with this team ASAP and remind them that they need to EARN respect. They have no business stepping on the court these past few games.

NO...they just don't have the same identity on the court. I think this is a very high end character team, so I don't think entitlement is an issue...they don't know how to play with each other yet. Sure, they can blow out teams just based on pure talent advantage, but these tough games are going to take some time. Miller really looks out of sorts offensively, and he can't make up for it by rebounding or defending...not sure why Lou did not get more time tonight.

First of all, terrible argument, Brand is a perfect fit for this team and Mo is too stupid to utilize him correctly.

Second, do you know what that statement means? If we played with a chip on our shoulder, that means we were looked down on and they play better to prove people otherwise.

This is the exact opposite.

I think you're stretching a bit here. Brand is NOT the perfect fit for this team. Josh Smith was. Brand is a great PF for a half court offense. We all recognized this. I think we're now trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Maybe it will work. I really hope it does. But right now, I think saying Brand is the perfect fit is a bit of a reach.

Tell me the last team to play a fast break style offense that won a championship?

None?

Exactly. You NEED to execute in the half court to win the big one.

Brand is a championship level PF, problem is, our coach is bush-league. It should be a two-man game with Iguodala and Brand pick-and-rolling with Thad on the wing ready to shoot for three if a man leaves to double.

Right now, it's Miller, Iggy, Willie, and Lou putting their heads down and hoping for the best.

If we want to change to a more conventional half court, inside-outside team- signing iguodala to 80M is even more questionable. he is a beast in the open court, but is not well suited to the slow kind of stagnant half court sets they are running.

Maybe this is correctable with coaching and time, or maybe they have chemistry issues that run deep. we will see.

Miller has been awful. When you are getting poor point guard play it tends to make the entire team look worse. 24 shots and just 2 assists? If that was Iverson he would be getting killed for destroying the ball movement and ball hogging.

Of course when the point guard plays terrific it makes everybody better which is what Miller did the 2nd half of last year.

If the Miller from the 2nd half of last year starts to show up we will run off a stretch of wins. If this current washed up looking, bad shot selecting Ander Miller is what we get the rest of the year than we are screwed.

I agree, Miller's play and lack of minutes for Lou Will is absolutely killing this team right now.

And another thing STOP LEAVING YOUR MAN TO DOUBLE, GIVING UP OPEN THREES!!!

Maybe Willie Green has taken over Miller's body or used some kind of mind control trick. Similar to the mind controlling powers he exerted on Mo last year. Scary stuff.

As for Lou- he has not exactly been tearing it up or sharing the ball well at the point either.
