Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Chelsea are at 12 summer signings with an average age of under 21, spending £243m since June 14 and bulking up their squad to more than 50 senior players.
Anyone want to help make sense of this, especially with the club selling Gallagher?

Enzo bouncing from being racist to his teammates to getting the captaincy and being Chelsea's worst player.
It's time for 5 refs.

Like how the Big Man was pushed into the background in the celebrations. He did everything he can to lose this champions league for Chelsea. [](https://rochestercleaningpros.com/)

What exactly is there to be figure out?
Gallagher is one of the worst players in our history and has been the figurehead of the most depressing era of CFC / sabotaging of the brand in the 21st century.
I would have paid to see him leave. As I would Sterling, Chilwell, Mount, Fofana, Sanchez etc.
Was calling for Sterling's head on the stake essentially since he joined, he can't even get gametime at Arsenal. He's just trash and rival fans tried to gaslight us about the players we had to watch week in and week out.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Record in big games is a cause for concern, but we're heading into international break in third (super tight race) with a top three hardest schedules played to date - so it's tough to really complain.
Eleven games in and have already played Arsenal, City, Liverpool at Anfield, United, Newcastle, Brighton, Forest (5th) and Bournemouth at Vitality places where Arsenal and City failed to get any points.

Nice little two month run here to stack up points to have us in a comfy spot heading into the final stretch.
Some good, bad and uglies.
Good: Caicedo is the best midfielder in the world, Reece James is healthy again, Marc Cucurella is a top five LB in the sport, some really high/highs between Jackson and Palmer. Overall health of the squad, players like Lavia and James finally freed from the shackles of Mauricio Pochettino; finally fit and able to contribute. PEDRO NETO. Fantastic signing, it's like a new dawn watching a player bought for big money walking into the team and showing his quality immediately and without a bundle of excuses.
Bad: The defense as a whole is shaky bar Cucurella and James. Not a fan of the role Maresca has Malo Gusto in as an IFB. Pretty much acting as a fourth interior player, but he's much more suited to overlapping as a traditional FB. Doesn't really excel in any technical attribute and his decision making in the final third leaves a lot to be desired. I understand the emphasis on trying to secure us out of possession - and it's working to a degree but I'm not sure he's the correct player to play there. Hindering a lot of relationships on the pitch to make us more rigid.
Ugly: Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana, Noni Madueke. None are good enough. Madueke in particular is the most disappointing because we already knew the other two were horror footballers.
Ready for Estevao to save my life, coming next summer and is probably the best RW the club has under contract on the books. Been tuning in to Palmeiras weekly to watch the player that officially joins us next summer and it's awe inspiring.
A player like Patrick Dorgu for that Gusto role and Tomás Araújo at Benfica to replace Wesley Fofana and we improve leaps and bounds more. The PL is prime for the taking over this next half decade.
Youngest team in the PL, so my expectations are hopefully being able to secure top four and then building from there. Future looks bright.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
If we could scam a team to give us our money back for Nkunku, he'd be right at the top of my queue for replacements / upgrades:
Looks a hybrid between Nico Jackson and another one of my crushes of the season Antoine Semenyo.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Very good win for all intents and purposes but by god... something smells like piss, wears #11 with that headband glued to his cranium.
Madueke is not a Chelsea caliber footballer, end of.
I'll save my thoughts on Fofana as he did well in his role as an aggressor today, as much of a liability he is on the ball - he's a contrasting profile to Colwill.
Enzo was sensational although still slightly misprofiled, Caicedo superb as per, Jackson was a menace today and Cucurella with another soldiers shift.
Felix and Badiashile put in wonderful performances, really would like to see them feature more throughout the season in meaningful matches, classy footballers.
Lavia shaky cameo, really yet to solidify himself as talented as he is. Would like to see him stack up big minutes in UECL and future cup ties. He simply needs to play more football.
Robby Sanchez...

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Form tracker:

Jan/Summer 2025 Wishlist:
Attacker: João Pedro >= Dibling > Cunha > Delap = Ketelaere = Semenyo > Guessand = Marmoush
Midfielder: Bouaddi > Promote Andrey Santos > Baleba > Ndiaye
Defender: Tomás Araújo >= van Hecke >= Zabarnyi > Loïc Bade
Fullback: Patrick Dorgu > Kerkez > Ryan Flamingo
Probably need one from each pot after hopefully culling off the rest of the deadwood incl: Nkunku (Nkaku) + Chilwell + Sterling + Chalobah + Chukwuemeka (RIP) / Madueke / Disasi / Sanchez
And then start polishing my Prem and my 2027 UCL.

Very comfortable win today. Villa looked way off the mark.
I'll keep it short and sweet, Caicedo and Cucurella were flawless. Masterful.
Fofana twisted his knee, was having a bit of a mare just prior.
I quite like shopping at Brighton, would really appreciate if our directors backed the brinks truck up for João Pedro.

Something is certainly amiss with Villa. I cannot fathom how far the club has fallen since beating Bayern at home in the CL.
As far as Chelsea spending even more, I would argue it's worse than when Pep arrived at Manchester City. I suppose you have another hotel, restaurant or store to sell to yourself?

Speaking of:
Imagine a center back with the pace of Van de Ven, but infinitely better on the ball and in build up.
My dream signing at RCB. Get it done in January.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Mind-blowing player. Don't compare us to that CB in disguise at Arsenal.
This guy as well. Azpilicueta regen. Type to quietly rack up hundreds of performances for the club and retire a cult hero / legend. Unassailable in possession, ferocious counter presser, physical in 1v1 duels. Finally getting his flowers.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Take the points and keep it moving. The return of CL football at Stamford Bridge is the mission, keep on it.
A lot of great performances, but this guy is just ridiculous. 20 years old, totally press resistant, robust in challenges and ball winning, fantastic long passer. A lot of question marks if him, Enzo and Caicedo could play together and it's been fantastic so far against Spurs and Villa. They're just too physical and talented in possession, helps us overrun teams in the middle.
CBs though...
Watching Andoni's men every week in pure jealousy of Huijsen and Zabarnyi

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Good performance.
Cucurella and Caicedo domineering performances. The heartbeat of the club right now. The way they counterpress and continue to win the ball back high for us time and time again allows us to attack in waves and win the war via attrition.
Not Jackson or Enzo's best performances, although they still accumulated G & A. Colwill was fantastic, Tosin made his first start in the league, he's not the fastest or the best footballer technically but he just wins in the air. Completely stifled Brentford in our box almost single handedly. On the flip side he got caught out for the goal conceded. He's a fine rotation option, but likely not a starter and that's more than enough considering he was a free transfer.
Between Fofana injured, Lavia and Felix being late additions to the injury list with knocks and Neto being suspended we were quite shorthanded.
Cucurella picked up a red card off of two questionable yellow cards. He could use the rest, but Goodison is never an easy place to go to and get a result so we'll miss him direly.
Caicedo at fullback again with Lavia and Enzo in the pivot or enter: Renato Veiga.

So... where's the Everton match post? Or do you only jump on now after a win?
