Fiction: I would love Owen to do it and everybody knows he has the talent to do it. But I think that is the absolute max he can score (give or take a few goals) with the concept of him being healthy.

F/F: The Bundesliga will perform better than the Serie A teams next year in the Champions League

Fiction. Wolfsburg has extremely overachieved last season, Bremen has lost Diego, and Stuttgart has lost goal machine Mario Gomez, even if his replacement Pogrebnjak is not that bad. There is a general sense of catharsis atm.

F/F: English are genetically hard-coded to lose penalty series

Fiction: Not possible if he stays at Madrid. He might not get many games over Benzema, Higauin, Raul and Horseface. If he moves to Arsenal, a different argument altogether.

F/F: Liverpool will lose both Mascherano and Xabi Alonso by January.

False, Alonso's gone, but not Mascherano

F/F: Kun Aguero will outscore Fernando Torres in the Champions League.

Fiction. Torres has a better instinct for goals and Liverpool always make a deep run in the CL.

F/F: Messi for Ballon d' Or

Fiction. Wasn't impressed by him at Roma and he might find going a lot tougher in the premier league. De Rossi is the real deal though.

F/F: Tevez will be "frustrated" by January time.

Fiction. They allowed 6 goals from a Injury plagued Arsenal, I see them playing like crap the whole season and without Joleon Lescott it can only get worse.

F/F: Aston Villa finish top six

Fiction, it is more probable that some underperforming players (Tymoshuk, Toni, Altintop, Schweinsteiger) go rather than van Gaal.

F/F: Samuel Etoo is actually better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Fact. Eto is the best finisher in world football right now but Inter's midfield is still suspect.

F/F: The lead up to the end of transfer window would be as hectic as it was last season.

Iffy on that. Too inconsistent but early to rule out the improvement with Robben.

F/F: Chelsea to win Champions League.
