UEFA had earlier announced their final decision on www.uefa.com, saying: "The UEFA Appeals body today accepted the appeal lodged by Arsenal FC against the two-match suspension handed to striker Eduardo.

"Following examination of all the evidence, notably the declarations of both the referee and the referees' assessor, as well as the various video footage, it was not established to the panel's satisfaction that the referee had been deceived in taking his decision on the penalty.

"Therefore, the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body of 1 September, in which the player was suspended for two UEFA club competition matches, is annulled.

I wouldn't mind the suspension as an Arsenal fan as long as Gerrard and Rooney get hit with the same punishment.
I'm sorry I haven't been funny. I am not a comedian. I am Lenny Bruce.

It was a clear dive, but they just realized that they have no way of being consistent with this. So they deny the obvious fact that it was a dive. I'm sure all this will result in the game being respected so much more :)

Yeah. A precedent has to be set, but it's not the first time a player dived

It was a dive, it just doesn't deserve a 2-match ban. I really hate Platini, he's been trying to bring down the EPL ever since it became big.

+1..As an Arsenal fan as well.I agree..If they were going to be consistent with it than fair enough..But you know that was never going to be the case so..
