Valencia seals it. Nice performance by the frontline and as soon as Own came on we looked an entirely different attack.

To be accurate, it was Berbatov who was brought behind Owen an could play with the ball much easier and provided nice touches.
Boring Utd, Nani and Valencia - not United material.

Yeah that was what I meant. Owen leading the line helped Berbatov drop down into the hole infront of the midfield and create chances. Fabio and Berbatov were the attacking threats all night long.

Missed the match today :(

Extremely happy with the victory though, a nice one to get away from OT and with so many injuries.

Looks like both our big game performers Rooney and Fletchinho are in a race against time to be fit for the Liverpool game. Rooney's absence could be a blessing in disguise for DB9 actually as Fergie will be forced to play him full 90 mins. The silky touches and the magician's skills are back to where they were at his best and if he can stick one in the back of the net to win it against the Kop, he's going to be an United legend.

I wouldn't mind going in with a 5-man midfield for this game and give Mickey Owen a chance after 60 or so minutes.

-----------------------Berbasex----------------

----Giggsy----Ando-------Scholes---Carrick--Valencia

------Evra--------Vidic-------------Rio---------Brown-----

------------------------VDS----------------------
Owen/Nani off the bench.

Welbeck was good. DaSilva twins were great and Obertan is going to crack the 1st team pretty soon.

By the way Fergie dropping hints that he might drop Rio from the 1st team.

Here's Berbatov's goal tonight.

Seriously, if there's a competition for the best first touch in football, this guy wins it by a country mile. No one else could have killed the force on the ball like that with one touch and then set himself up for a volley at goal.

United 3 - CSKA 3

Horrible defending by Wes Brown on more than one occasion but we got saved by late goals again.

Macheda had a wonderful game without scoring a goal.

Robinho? Dani Alves? Ibra? even the guy on your sig uses his first touch more consistently to open up space and provide finishing. Berbatov is up there when he is on but he is inconsistent and certainly is not country mile ahead of others.
