Post#1 » by Golpe de Estado » Thu Nov 5, 2009 3:12 pm

I am watching Mexico-Korea Republic at the moment. The United States were eliminated yesterday 2-1 by Italy.

yesterday's Argentina-Colombia game was great. i think Turkey has a real chance of making to the final, they get to avoid three of the favorites in Spain, Argentina and Nigeria.

I have not seen Turkey play so i cannot comment no that.

Mexico is up 1-0 going into the 40th minute. It seems like their defense is taking them places since they lack much offense.

By the way which Turkish team do you support and what are your reactions to missing the world cup?

i am a Galatasaray fan. as for missing the world cup, we had one of the worst coaches in the qualification so it is not that surprising.

yeah I have been following this. It's cool to follow and stuff but i don't think it provides any foreshadowing of future stars or a bright future for the winners....players are too young

Yeah I've seen many U17 or U21 stars play at mediocre clubs as they get older. Most great players don't play these tournaments.

correct about U17 but U21 stars have a pretty good success rate, in fact many of them move to big clubs after their performance in U21 or U19 national teams.

Colombia here seems to be what Turkey was in Euro 08, they beat Argentina at the last second after going down 2-0 and beat Turkey in penalties after tying the game at the last second.

All 3 Bosnians have announced in the Bosnian press, saying their future is with Bosnia and Switzerland has yet to comment on that. I think Switzerland won't say nothing because they already spoke with Switzerland NT. These 3 youngsters have a very promising future and it only make their motherland Bosna have a more promising future! :D Which we Bosnian love!
