OT - Football Manager 2010

Post#1 » by Batu7 » Fri Nov 13, 2009 12:21 pm

Since the people in Media Lounge won't be interested in it, I've decided to open this topic here.

Anybody played this game? Or any game in the series?

The last series I played was in 2006? And it was bloody brilliant so if they sell Football Manager 2010 here in the States I'll get it or just wait till I move back home to Bosnia.

I played the demo of 2010, it's pretty sweet but it gets boring after a while.

I got mine a few days ago via British Air Mail... Was just 35€, shipping to Germany included.

They changed the tactics screen and made the match enginge even smoother, but overall not much difference to the 2009 version. Still the best manager and easily worth the money.

I'm finally back guys! :D

I think it's a great game, the 3-D match are actually what's got me hooked on it. I'm Middlesbrough trying to get them back up. :D

I play it too, I'm managing Újpest, a Hungarian team and the Algerian NT. I like it, but my I haven't really managed to put together a good tactic.

I've played it since CM 2000. Big fan ot Footie Managers ( Cm series, Premier Legue FIfa Manager now and of course FM)
FM 2010 is a great rebound from 09 which was verry buggy and slow.

You know I can't give you the torrent or the rapidshare links, so...

I've just clocked up in excess of fifty hours in FM09, and I'm not updating until that game makes me retire. It's currently in September, 2022.

I started as an unemployed, former semi-pro of obscure repute. Brought Italian club Catanzaro from C2 to mid-A and took Nigeria to 2014 African Cup of Nations win and 2014 WC quarters. I got Portsmouth promoted from 15th in half a season (Ryan Taylor winning the 2015 playoffs final 3-2 in the 119th minute!), survived relegation on the last day the following season and finished a spot out of Europe the next, then took Cameroon to 2018 WC second round. I then took a couple of seasons to get Gimnastic Tarragona from Liga Adelante to La Liga and I left halfway through a UEFA Cup-qualifying season to try and manage favourite club Aston Villa but that fell through. I've just taken charge at recently relegated, Italian Cup winners AS Roma. First job in which I haven't had to watch the pennies, and I'm now in the unique situation of playing in UEFA Cup while in the country's second division. Oh, and I managed Australia to top of their 2022 WC group, which included eventual winners England, but was thoroughly dominated by Italy in a second round loss. Good times. Probably another twenty seasons remain.

Nice career, I like games like that too. It's not going to make you retire though. You can play on until your computer gives in.

Alright, the "demo" link should be sent to the address. Sorry mate, it's all I can do.
