It's David Luiz, and here is the article: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... rs&cc=5901

35 for Luiz
40 for Di Maria

F****** 'ell that's a lot of money!

That's a lot of money considering the risk, but I guess since they didn't make the Champions League they'll have to settle for them. But still that's a crapload of money that I'll actually be surprised if that's the actual offer.

Di Maria - didn't find him impressive at all in his games against Liverpool in the Europa League, just a plain vanilla winger with decent dribbling and decent speed; his set-pieces were decent also, but nothing great

Luiz - this guy I actually liked, he looked really driven and scrappy, in more ways than one (hair) he's like a Anderson Varejao of a soccer team; he was good all around and a solid defender, but with that said there is no way in hell he is worth $35M pounds, not even $15M.

Cardozo - although not mentioned, this guy is a beast of a striker. He's a complete striker: he's big, fast, a good shooter and good with his head from set-pieces. Man Shity doesn't need any more strikers, but I could see him moving to another team for a lot of money, probably $20M pounds++.

City and Real are the biggest price inflaters of today's soccer transfer market.

I haven't seen many games of Benfica (actually just 2) but from what I've seen both players are worth half as much as ManCity and Real are willing to pay.
Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 15 mil. for either guy.
Seriously doubt that a Di Maria is better than someone like Marko Marin from Bremen or Mata from Valencia. Unfortunately, the price tag suggests so.

^Yeah, I definitely agree on Mata being better than Di Maria. I guess with these two powerhouses in the transfer market, then I'm guessing that most signing this season will most likely be at deadline day.
