How was the game vs. Australia? I know they won but did anyone watch?

Here are the full highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7_slaKZvxg

Some impressive passing by the U.S. was on display. Australia couldn't finish and our counter attack gave them fits.

thanks. it will be big for the US if a second striker can play next to Altidore, as I feel like they do better when they play a simple 4-4-2. To be honest I think Buddle sucks, but all they need is for someone other than Altidore and Donovan/Dempsey to be able to step up and knock in some goals.

Buddle is like Jozy-ultra lite. He can get it into the goal, is willing to sacrifice his body, and is strong/fast enough to be a threat on fast breaks. I think Dempsey/Altidore should start up top with Holden in the midfield and Gomez or Buddle the first off the bench. Gomez could help late in games.

what do you guys think of Torres? From what i've seen the past couple months, he could really make a difference (probably off the bench)

Buddle and Findley actually looked competent. Findley did miss an easy one though but his pace is giving teams issues. I'm not a Bob Bradley fan but that looks like a good choice.

Once again, Bradley/Clark doesn't work for me, I think Mike looks better with Edu and Torres than Clark. Start Edu 2 games and Torres 1.

Thought the CB's(Demerit and Goodson) were shaky and I'd say those are the guys that will face England. Onyewu shouldn't start. Bocanegra and Cherundolo seem fine but I thought it would've been wise to sub in Spector to see if he could play LB and move Boca inside.

I've seen plenty Pachuca games and he rarely gives the ball away. Smart with the ball, very accurate passer. You can't say that about many of the US CM's in the pool. On him starting, depends on matchups most likely but he'll play plenty of minutes I assume.

I agree with these ideas. I'm not really a fan of Clark...he's ok but I definitely agree him and Bradley don't bring much when theyre together. The center back situation isn't looking too good

I don't like Clark, especially when Edu has been very good and Torres has shown flashes.

As for Findley he showed what he was in that Australia game: fast as hell. His technique isn't great but it could be enough to whip in crosses, although I wouldn't count on him finishing around the net very well.

How has DeMerit looked? Haven't really paid attention to him. Boca could certainly play inside but Spector would get ruined by Lennon out wide, just like he did in the EPL. He has serious trouble with fast wingers when he's playing LB.
