It's not just scoring. I just like pretty much every touch of Aguero. And he looks superfit, physically stronger than I remember him and not tired like some others. Tevez isn't bad but I consider him a bit like Dirk Kuyt, useful very hard worker but not making defenders nervous when he has the ball. Aguero is always a threat to score, always a threat to run deep and whats impressed me too is that he makes great decisions, he doesn't lose the ball a lot because of going for his own, just when it's the right choice. Still always a threat to score though. Higuain can score too but relies more on other creating for him imo. Less quick too, better in the air though obviously.

TBH I haven't been able to watch Argentina play besides their game yesterday. All of their games have been at 4:30 or 7am when I have work. So I can't really comment on in game play, but I do know that Tevez is one heck of a player.

Hehe so true. They'll have a tough enough job ahead of them though with Mexico (if they bring their A game) and the winner of England-Germany. After that he'll be an idiot again. ;)

Playing guys like Palermo and Veron is a joke. Also, Aguero >>>>>>>>>> Tevez, but not a starter. And Cambiasso should be there of course.

There's nothing wrong with playing Palermo against Greece. I was very happy that he gave Palermo some playing time. It was basically a meaningless game.
Veron has been given a lot of chances, and he's proven that he simply cannot come close to filling in Riquelme's shoes.

I still wish he would have picked Cambiasso and Zanetti but I'm happy with the way he has managed the team so far. The way he is using Messi is absolutely perfect and is making up for the fact that we don't have any creativity from the midfield. Pastore should probably be starting over Veron, and he was terrific in his short appearance against Greece.

Also, Tevez is a better player than Aguero.

Doesn't matter what game it was, it's still a sign of Maradona's idiotic side. Even putting them in the squad.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. But that being said, playing the best 11 players isn't necessarily the right thing to do. For example Rafael vd Vaart has to go or Netherlands will keep playing weak offensively. Wouldn't necessarily call Eljero Elia a better player (he will be though, think VDV is overrated) but he should play over VDV because it's better for the team.

Diego is definitely not using Messi perfectly, for one thing he shouldn't have played a single minute yesterday.

This, Kevin Keegan is the same, not brilliant tactically, but when he speaks it just brings that fire into you to want to do well for him. And that's what Maradona has done, the players REALLY want to play for him and make him proud, quite the opposite of Domenech.

I think the reason Palermo is in the team is because of Maradona's ego as well as Palermo scoring the winning the goal against Chile to send Argentina to the World Cup. It's more of "I told you so" with a part of "since you get us here, you deserve your place here". Besides, he's the 6th striker, who gives a crap.
