Iniesta is a genius but he's far from underrated.

Underrated is relative to what you hear about him, I always hear the argument of his poor stats (not many assists or goals), but he's a very creative player, and his affect on the game is much, much greater than his stats.

Everybody knows he's a great player that's the problem. No one doubts that he's probably on par with Xavi, you can pretty much ask anyone and they'll probably say this.

I think Iniesta is a better player than Xavi. Much more versatile, greater goal threat and much quicker.

Paraguay scored a perfectly good goal which was wrongly ruled out. How am I wrong?

It was offsides, look at the replay. The commentators said it was the right call.

Cardozo was offside, Valdez wasn't.

Commentators are only human. The opinions differ on this subject. Let's just keep it at controversial. Definitely not unlucky to say the least.

Spain is very lucky in general to play so poorly and get to the semi final regardless. They sucked the whole tournament. Besides Villa and Xabi Alonso they're disappointing big time.

A Paraguay vs. Uruguay final would have been exciting, it's too bad Spain is getting by on such weak play.

I mean that Spain has always been very unlucky, I don't think you can say today's win was lucky because the defender should've been sent off for the penalty and Villar clearly fouled Cesc after the missed penalty kick. So I don't think Spain got lucky at all. Both teams have reasons to be pissed.

I don't care how shaky the officiating was, that Paraguay-Spain match might've been my favorite of the year. Not much scoring but a lot of chances, a lot of drama, and two teams just giving it their all. Match really should've gone to extra time, it deserved it.

Hoping for a Holland-Germany final, but Holland-Spain will do nicely as well.

The officiating was fine, even with replay it's hard to determine whether that was an offside or not, and you can't fault the official for it, there should've been a penalty after the missed penalty but No ref would call it.
Sapin and Paraguay played a very good game.

Valdez wasn't offside but Cardozo was and he tried to play the ball but he missed, Offside.

The refs were terrible. Valdez wasn't offside, the linesman made a mistake there. And this was the most inconsistent ref I've ever seen. He can award the penalty (I wouldn't have, because Villa was clearly looking for the foul), but then he should send the last man off. He can have it retaken (I wouldn't have, because this happens vry often and it's usually ignored), but then the Paraguayan one should have been retaken as well, because there were even more Spanish guys running inside there. And if he has the balls to call such a weak penalty, then he should also award the obvious one right afterwards.

It went way over his head, he was never going to reach it.

Valdes was very close, and the other guy affected the play, the rule doesn't say no offside if the guy doesn't touch the ball, the rule says the the other player shouldn't interfere with the play, he attracted 2 defenders with him.

You want him to redo a penalty spain stopped because Paraguayan players entered early? to each his own I guess

But Xavi has better intelligence and a better vision. He always seems to play the right ball. His awareness and movement off the ball is magnificent to watch, how he always seems to find space even though most of the opposite teams play a DM to keep tight on him and try and keep him in check is great to watch.
