^ I guess you haven't seen the twins play much. They'd tear Alves a new one before they get ripped. The only thing I'm concerned is their aggressiveness and Alves/Pedro's flopping. United have no chance if one of them gets sent off. Evra is a surefire starter though, the question is who plays right back between the twins and O'shea.

Actually, I've seen plenty of both twins and I'm quite confident that probably the best RB in the world would do quite a bit more damage than either. Alves' role on this Barca team is severely underrated because when he plays well down the right he combines so well with Messi/Pedro and leads to numerous gaps in the defense. Particularly in a big game like this where Dani's experience will tell, I would definitely back him and Pedro (who is one of the best in the world at cutting in) to rip either of
the twins to shreds if they're played up against him.

EDIT: In addition, their aggresiveness is very likely to get them in trouble against Alves/Pedro as well, so definitely would love if for some reason SAF played both the twins instead of Evra. TBH I think United's best choices at full backs would be Evra/O'Shea

Evra played okay against Arsenal, but he's been crap for last couple of months. He either needs to get rested or Fabio should play. Evra, like Cole, played way too many games last couple of seasons and it's really showing. His positioning has been very poor and I doubt Fabio's much worse at this point.

If Evra is poor, I can really see United having trouble keeping Alves/Pedro quiet

Busquets missing the crucial penalty.

That would be awesome.

I'm pulling for United. But, fearful of them having a man sent off.

My dislike for United far, far outweighs my dislike for Barca.

^ If you had of asked me two months ago, I would agree with you. But, right now, I can't think of team I wouldn't want to beat Barca in the final. Well, maybe Man City. Hell, they had me rooting for Real!

Don't know about fans elsewhere in the UK and the world but here in London from what I've heard from friends/talking to people at pubs, every non-United fan is rooting for Barca.

I know for a fact, every Birtish guy outside Liverpool would support for United at Wembley. Phil McNulty, the BBC football guy has already said that much on his facebook page. England takes a lot of pride in their clubs doing well in Europe. The whole country was behind Fulham to win the UEFA cup last season.

Yeah that's what I thought would have been the case but in London it really isn't (OK central London specifically)

I'm rooting for United all the way, and I'm from the UK. Detest this Barca squad.

I'm with Slava on this one, I'm a non-United fan from the UK and I want United to win as much as it pains me. I just prefer seeing English clubs win the CL. It's really nothing against Barcelona, just have more bias towards English clubs.

Also, am I the only one who wouldn't be surprised if the played Fabio down the left-wing like he did against Arsenal? I think that's another option that could play in Fergie's mind, he has proven some great attacking and defensive displays down the left wing when called upon. With Evra backing him up that could really stretch the Barca defence in terms of width in comparison to Park who will most likely cut in when going forward.

Congrats on a solid body of work. It would be churlish and rhetorical to ask how many are back to back, so I'll spare us both. Best of luck with the exams anyway.
