Re: 2012
What has happened to Inter? They used to be the team I followed the most until I got bored with Serie A, how the hell did they finish mid-table?

Re: 2012
Stramaccioni is an arrogant, sad excuse for a coach. But even more than that, injuries hit them hard this year. their best goal scorer (Milito) missed a lot of time, as did Palacio, Samuel, Nagatomo, Cambiasso, Gargano. Even Cassano struggled a bit with injury and Zanetti missed the final weeks of the season with a serious one. Not to mention they sold Wesley Sneijder because Strama had no idea how to use one of the world's best players. Their bright spot was Freddy Guarin and bringing in Mazzarri to be new coach.

Curious to see Kovacec develop for them as well as he's looked very good for the croatian NT as a teen. Don't see why they never utilize a trio of him, Modric and Badelj in midfield to be able to pass as well as any team in the world.

Have Roma announced a coach yet? I heard Bielsa was one of the final candidates and I'd love to see him work with the talent Roma has on hand.

Re: 2012
Do you guys think any of the Colombian talent on Serie A can play the "10" position for our national team. We are using Magnelly Torres right now and due straight out sucks. Quintero is youg, but maybe he is up for it no?

they've just announced former Lille coach Rudi Garcia is their new guy.

Mezzy, obviously hard to say due to his age, but I think Quintero is their best bet to be their "number 10." It'd be nice to see him end up on a bigger club in Italy...perhaps not Juve/Milan but somewhere he can start and compete for Europe. Has Quintero been getting called up to the senior team? if so any playing time?

He's gotten the call, but our coach is stubborn and unlikely to give him playing time. Hell, Guarin hardly ever sees the pitch and I hear he has been doing good things at Inter. Muriel and Jackson also hardly ever play to accommodate a guy who plays in Mexico. Torres had 1 great game for him and it seems that it was enough to secure his spot even though he has been horrible for like 5 straight games and is not even that good in the local league. With the abundance of Colombian talent in Europe. I don't understand why we are still using local guys.
We started using James at the age of 20 and I understand he was already an elite player at a good club, but I see no harm in giving Quintero a chance. Maybe he will earn his spot by having a great U-20 WC
