RIP Ottmar Walter, one of the greatest players of the legendary 1954 WC-winning squad. You gave us 89 wonderful years, and you and your brother Fritz will never be forgotten!

Also a shout out to Köln legend Heinz Flohe, who also passed away.

Yuck...Szalai is headed to Schalke.
Not that I think he is a great striker but I'll have nightmares about being relegated for the next 12 months if we have to rely on Sebastian Polter scoring goals. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Might as well make Nicolai Müller the Messi of Mainz and play him as a CF. He did well in that role last few games last season.

Nice pick up for Schalke though. Even if he is coming off a career year, he'll be good #2 to Hunter. Unlike Pukki and Marica who are beyond useless. With Goretzka, Santana and Clemens, so far so good for Schalke.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?

Szalai is all hit or miss. On a good day he is hitting completely ridiculous shots and on a bad day he'll manage to screw up three 1 vs. 1 situations vs. the goalie. Definitely a good option as a 2nd striker, though.

On paper Schalke's moves look awesome. Maybe not so much for the next year but 2 or 3 years down the road they'll pay off big. The Goretzka deal is still not done, though.

Yeah, no they're going to court about it apparently? Gotta figure eventually he'll get the move he wants, but this is kinda nuts.

Is Pukki that bad? I thought he had potential when I saw him play against Galatasaray(For the first time). He looked like a threat from the bench and played(kinda) like one. He has also been good in my Fifa and FM games, so I never got a chance to view him in a negative way.

He's not a striker, at least not yet, he wastes a lot of chances and should probably play as a winger or off a striker. But when he plays on top he's pretty useless.
