Two of your trophies where won before WW2 back when a nation like Uruguay could win and not only where the tournaments poorly organized and officiated but many countries didn't even participate, including the '34 WC held in Mussolini's italy. That is the problem Massimo, the better side would be able to not fail to qualify as much as the Italians have, would not fail at the group stages as much as the Italians have, would be able to hold more trophies and wouldn't need to point back to titles won before the WC was a major global tournament to compete. Italian Under-21 international Luca Caldirola is just a medical away from completing a move to Werder Bremen.

The Inter-owned defender, who spent last season at Cesena and Brescia, is close to signing a five-year deal with the German outfit.

The Beneamata are expected to net €2m from his sale.

Caldirola will become the second Inter-owned defender to head to the Bundesliga after Bayer Leverkusen offered €3m for Giulio Donati.
