to be fair recent senior tournaments outside of euro 08 have been crap in entertainment standpoint. you're right about passion though, atmosphere of international tournaments are unmatched.

Yeah I just love the memories of all the drama on international tournaments. I guess that's the perfect way to describe it, drama. These teams have to go through qualifying periods and wait years to get to a WC and I just feel like they care a lot more. At the club level, they play multiple tournaments a year and always have a plan B or the following season to fall back on.

For some reason I've always liked Chile in South America. I wish they passed through :(

They always play aggressive football and leave their all on the field. I wish Colombia played like them and Uruguay at all ages. Those 2 always play above their capabilities while Colombia always seems to play below ours.

Apparently two players from Iraq (the goalkeeper and a striker) faked their documents and age to participate in this tournament, a journalist from their country denounced it... he must be so hated haha.

Lets see how true it is and what happens.

France vs Uruguay final.

French team will be superior physically, they still havent played an extra time while Uruguay has played 2. Should be interesting match.

I'm a fan of the French team, however I'll be rooting for my man Varela on Uruguay!
