I agree. Belgium have an amazing generation of players right now given their country size.

They will be seeded too. I expect them to make a nice run and maybe reach the semis. I can't wait to see us play them to see where we are at, though I fully expect us to lose since our coach is too stubborn.

Don't think they're ready yet for next year....I expect them to advance past the group stage and maybe advance one knockout game but the quarter finals are their ceiling IMO(but with favorable matchups you never know)

Definitely one of the favorites from 2016 going forward though

I wouldn't be surprised to see them get to the semis. They are as talented as anyone other than Spain, Germany, and Brazil( and I only have them ahead due to home advantage).

Belgium is on the tier with Holland, Italy, Argentina, England, and Colombia but I like them better than all of them.

Experience will be a huge factor.....Van Buyten might be the only one who played in a major tournament before

They have only a handfull of guys who are in their prime ,the rest of their young guns will only improve from now on...2016-2018 will really be the best years for them

Guys like Vertonghen ,Dembele,Chadli,Defour,Kompany,Fellaini will still be relevant and the young guys will be entering their prime.....don't know if a team will be more dangerous by then, maybe Germany
Spain and Holland will change generations and I don't see the up and coming guys at the level of the Belgians

How does the Uefa qualification system work? I though the top 2 teams from each group advanced since there are always 16 European teams in the WC, but now I am reading something about a playoff.

For UEFA there's 9 groups, and 13 spots. So the 9 winners get in and and the 8 best runner-ups play-off for the remaining 4 spots.

Oh so they took 3 spots away from UEFA? I was wondering where all these extra spots were coming from

I always thought they had 16, 2 in group in the WC. Thanks for the correction.
