I don't care either, didn't watch a single game yet. But the Brazilian fans care and they don't deserve this.

Why are their fans horrible?

Because they're relentlessly booing anyone who's competing against Brazilian athletes. Cheering for your own athletes is perfectly fine, but the way they've been treating some other athletes has been pathetic. No sportsmanship whatsoever.

They've paid sh*tload of money for their tickets. They can do whatever they want.

And what's the problem with booing anyway? It's part of sports. I would boo as well if they were competing against my countrymen/women. Don't see the problem.

As always, I'll just completely disagree with everything you just said.

Booing ranks pretty low among bad fan behavior

When we're talking about soccer fans, yeah probably. But it's no coincidence there are so many athletes calling the fans out and saying they've never seen something like that at the Olympics before. In other sports, this just doesn't happen. Especially not like it has been happening in Rio so far.

That would be fine with me. Booing the Russian swimmer Jefimova (?) who got caught twice (the second time was earlier this year) and who was only allowed to participate because she's "Putin's favorite swimmer" is completely fine. And yeah, she was booed a lot.

But like I said, they're booing everyone who's competing against a Brazilian athlete. For example, I watched the first round match of the tennis tournament between Dustin Brown (German) and Thomas Belucci (Brazilian). Fans were booing Brown as soon as he entered the court and celebrated every mistake he made, even when he injured himself. And that's far from the only example.

Shouldn't they boo their own athletes as well then? Because apparently they weren't tested for weeks prior to the Olympics.

Smart business decision by Neymar to join the Olympic team. Just cemented himself as a national legend by winning Gold at home and becoming the ''Savior'' vs the German villains. You couldn't write a better script for his management team.

What? It's Olympic soccer. Nobody outside of Brasil really cared. I just didn't think the Brazilian fans deserved it, but the atmosphere was great last night so whatever.

The final was a great game, didn't expect that. Never seen guys like Toljan or Süle playing that well.

Yeah, was a good game and in the end it was alright that Brazil won. I think they did a little bit more even though they got really lucky with us hitting the bar three times in the first half.

Though, you could also see how much each country valued that tournament.
Brazil really needed a feel good moment, after that world cup, and sent out Neymar, while we brought the Bender twins and Nils Petersen.

BTW: Süle's the next big thing at CB for us and I wasn't surprisde by his performances. Toljan's also a solid young fullback and something we could use in the future. Him and Henrichs(Leverkusen) could really help in that department, while Klostermann can also play there.
