I'm definitely a fan of Schneiderlin's game. He didn't get a fair shake at United. I'm not overly fond of Everton's current DM/CM options (besides Gueye) with McCarthy and Barry, and Schneiderlin can emulate what those guys do and add a whole lot more defensively, so he should be able to plug straight in to the first XI and displace one of those two easily. Everton's a good fit for him, I like the deal.

Memphis Depay off to Lyon. Looked awful whenever I watched him for United, but that wasn't exactly a lot.

He's still only 22.

they better have buy back clause otherwise it is silly to give up on a high price investment so early

All reports I've seen suggest it's £16m + £8m add-ons, no mention of any clauses. More details might come out.

He was basically usurped by Martial immediately and barely got another chance after that. It is a little cut throat but not surprising. Hopefully he can reignite his career in France, no better place to do it as a winger.

Everything I've read says buyback clauses are illegal in France as well.

It's impressive that in a league featuring Chelsea and City, Man U seem to be the biggest wheeler-dealers with little regard for ROI or team composition. But what do I know, maybe Bailly will play at Man U for the rest of his career (like he said he will) and Mkhitatiaryaryi will stay for 5 years, selling on for 10m more than they bought him for.

HOWEVER...OL is looking sick on FIFA now.

Looks like they only spent 25 million to buy him psv, I thought they spent close to 40. They are not losing as much as I thought but I would have loaned him out to a German club or something and pad his performance instead of selling him.

Might be thinking of Martial, he cost around 40m in the same summer.

I don't feel a loan was an option, really. You'd have to roll the dice in loaning him to a big club--like PSG--and hope they want to play him over their owned players for some reason. I'd assume the wages and ambitions of Depay are too high to broker a deal with, then send to a Toulouse or Schalke and just hope he finds his form.

Berahino sold to Stoke for £12m. Remember when West Brom's chairman rejected a £25m approach from Spurs two summers ago? Poor decision, though a bullet dodged on Spurs' part.

Very talented lad but his head's just not there. We'll see how he performs at Stoke.
