That got way too nervy but a wins a win. If I recall correctly, the only league game we've allowed 3 goals or more in the last 3 seasons was that Newcastle disaster.

Looking like HIF was right about Everton, just thought their tough start might have been a knock but they're looking like they might lose to Bournemouth. The Atalanta thrashing was a red flag.

And they score right when I type that.

And they scored again, it's 2-1.

Tough schedule for Crystal Palace
Away at Manchester x 2 time
At home v Chelsea

The question is not when are they going to win, the question is when are they going to score.

It's difficult to express just how consistently bad a goalkeeper Mignolet is. He shouldn't be playing for Brentford, let alone Liverpool.

Yeah, just no need to do that with a yellow at that part of the pitch. Not like a desperation tackle was needed.

Aurier answered my question for me. :nonono:

This game was concerning because there is no reason for a team to fall apart the way we did just because they had a man sent off. I have great confidence in Pochettino, but he's making some strange substitutions lately and developing a pattern of not taking off Alli when he should. It may seem strange to say about a player who had an assist, but Alli displayed close to zero vision throughout yesterday. And taking off Eriksen put our defence under extra pressure because it removed our strongest element for maintaining possession.

Leicester have the same problem with Mahrez. He shouldn't even be in the team at the moment, so we're carrying supposedly our most creative player and playing with 10 men. Gray needs to start and Mahrez needs time to think but coaches don't have balls for these decisions with star players nowadays.

Are you serious?
Mignolet is a class goalkeeper. No doubt about it.

Yes, his class was on full display once again last weekend. That's why he keeps getting benched for yet another insufficient goalkeeper.

He made one mistake in which he redeemed himself by saving the penalty he caused.
The first goal is an obvious foul by Okazaki. Clearly visible in the replay.

Karius plays in the CL because Klopp bought him.

You clearly only watched the highlights.

Yes, it's indeed a foul. (To be accurate, i'm not actually sure whether play had started while Okazaki was tugging on Mignolet but it should have been pointed out by the referee either way.) But it has no effect on the error he made. It's not like Mignolet was getting to that ball without Okazaki's involvement.

1- That's not true. They've been alternating all over the place since last season because Klopp is naturally not satisfied with either of them.

2- Why would Klopp sign a goalkeeper when he's already got a top class one? Something doesn't add up there.

Better than Bale in his prime here, imo.

When was the last time he had just 1 goal in a game? His offside goal might've been one of his best too.

21 goals in his last 10 away games for club and country, that's one hell of a record.

Chelsea back three looking a bit unsure passing it out of the back. City pressing high in numbers as you'd expect, they have forced a number of errors but no score just yet.
