And then when you choose a team like the Chicago Sting, that flounders and re-forms and eventually folds, you will be burned out on professional soccer for a couple of decades before coming back to it with a fresh set of eyes and far less emotional involvement.

Find a club personality or player personality you like best.
Like I fell in love with the Marseille Gang from a couple years back, the experienced vets combining with a couple youthful future french stars.
Though they blew up their team because of finacial difficulties, i still supported them because the players they brung in were kept the identity of the club the same.
Now i couldn't imagine not supporting them, they are my team no matter the players.

SouthHampton is a solid choice. They develop youth, love loyalty and reward it. Consistent year in and out, have their struggles but are a mid table team that always a lot of potential.
After your first, you change, you mature, you dont just jump into things.

After getting dunked on for the first time, life becomes complex.

SS LAZIO 1900

First Team in Rome...born in 9th January 1900 in Freedom Square (centre of Rome)...It was here, where to this day thousands of Lazio fans still gather at midnight between the 8th and 9th to celebrate, that nine youngsters met each other and decided to found SS LAZIO...

27 years after...came As Roma...founded by a fusion of 7 little team...

S.S.Lazio Pride Of Rome
"...I want to compliment him, we all expected that he would take up the game, we have prepared the plan race on him, we have doubled. And, as usual, he did what he wanted..."

In the style of play (and team spirit, hard-worker guys, very good role players) and coaching Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea 2 could remain me of San Antonio Spurs applied in soccer, but this San Antonio Spurs spirit can easily go away when Popovich finishes his career, at the same time Atletico de Madrid can also lose it if Simeone leaves (probably next summer or in 2 years).
