Lamela should have been off for that foul after already being booked. It would have made for a good finish to the game. Additions were poor and spurs were lucky that the game wasn't abandoned.

The commentator was sickeningly spurs biased. I understand that it was the same in 2016 for Leicester but this year spurs are the media darlings.

For the Spurs fans here how long do you think it will take the spurs supporters to turn on the team if they don't win anything? Football (and its fans) have become crazy with regards to the need for trophies. I'd have thought that a top 4 and CL spot will be good enough for Spurs supporters this season but do you think a 5th or 6th next season and no Cup trophy will result in the Chelsea/Manure scenarios? Same question for Liverpool fans really.

They are the 2 of the "big 6" who haven't won anything recently and their fans expectations are becoming onerous. Personally I think spurs have been doing exceptionally well and should be delighted with top 4 and QFs in the CL but I wonder if you think the worm could turn next season or whether Spurs fans are above that.

That game was ridiculous though. Almost an advertisement for not having VAR. The game is done and dusted 30 min without those calls and delays were way too long.

I don't think Spurs supporters would ever turn on the current team unless they lose someone like Kane or Poch or multiple top for stupid reasons. Most spurs fans are generally are pretty level headed in terms of what we want the team to do. The whole trophies thing is media/other fan driven trash that they keep throwing out there to downgrade the accomplishments of individual players and the team as a whole. Considering where the team was 2 years ago and the fact that we aren't blowing 50+M on multiple players but are at this level of success has most fans ecstatic. The trophies will come, the luck in terms of getting them will eventually come through.

That's good.

The trophies may not come. This year may be as good as it gets, but your team is playing some great attacking football and you need to enjoy it for as long as it lasts.

Yeah, I think most Spurs fans are happy just to see good football most weeks. There are definitely some that are affected by the media and other fan narrative of trophies or bust that BUCKnation mentioned, though. I'd be delighted to win some trophies but it's not the be-all-end-all for me.

Easy win for Spurs.

Surely this has to be the year.

Only 2 home fixtures between them and silverware.

We played well but we're just not good enough. 7th and two cup QF knockouts in or after ET is a fair reflection on our level at the moment.

We are in a transition phase with the old guard finishing (Morgan, Fuchs, Huth, simpson (hopefully)) and young talent coming through but needing more experience - Chilwell, Maguire, Dragovic, Amartey, Diabaté, Gray (maybe one or 2 of our reserve team where we have some v ery good young CBs especially).

With Mahrez on his way in the summer we'll just be left with Kasper (we are his level, he's not good enough for elite teams), Albrighton (same as Kasper) and Vardy (far better than the general public give him credit for, but he'll never leave) from the championship winning team of 2 years ago.

Every year the same ****

Blowing leads in big games, sick of this soft mentality, everyone anonymous in the second half

Sadly Manure deserved it.

Let's hope that Southampton win the cup and then at least we won't have to watch Burnley in the Europa league. ;-)

I don't really have quibbles with the way Man United went about their business, they 100% deserve it too. It was a professional Mourinho-like performance. But man, every year I get my hopes up and think things could be different, and they deliver a second half performance like that.

Not playing Lloris or Alderweireld was a big mistake on Poch's part, imo.

While maybe true, I really don't think they (Sanchez or Vorm) were the problem. Team looked almost lifeless after giving up the equalizer.

Final between United and Chelsea coming up in a moment. Hard for me to be too excited for this given Spurs' bottlejob in the semis, but should be a decent game.

I was wrong, it was an awful match. Chelsea take the cup home 1-0 off an Hazard penalty.

Unbelievable how Chelsea has been able to win this match with such an awful display. On the other hand, Mourinho should deem why he's playing Jones over Lindelof, Bailly or Rojo. A lot of money to invest by Man United this summer on wings back and centrals back.

I didn't think it was a bad game.

Kanté again showing what a difference he is to a team.
