Gotta feel for Japan, still, no shame in that.

As an Italian, I still hold in my heart 2006 World Cup as the best

But this WC has had many (pleasant?) surprises, and this has probably been the best game so far.

Even if Belgium turn this one around, Martinez is one of the biggest fraud managers around. Never rated him.

he made the right calls in the 2nd half tonight tho.

Belgium survived. Hopefully its a wake up call for the Brazil gm

Agreed, but it's not a genius move by any means. You have a huge height advantage, keep pumping balls into the box. It's common sense, especially since they were struggling to pass through the Japanese defence until that final counter.

crazy how much the small nations have improved in just a matter of years they completely flipped the script on teams that used to be more dominant
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

2002 Belgian squad was top-notch especially their defense anchored by Daniel Van Buyten and the refs were partial towards Brazil during R16 matchup. Revenge of the Belgians!!

I haven't been very impressed with Brazil...I'm going with 3-1 Belgium...the over/under on Neymar flops is 4.5.

Finally we are underdog

Very interesting to see what this will do for our team and play.

Our defense against Japan was atracious. Kompany and Vertongen were

Can't afford that type of defense against Brazil, they will be up 4-0 by halftime

do enjoy my upsets but glad to see Belgium v Brazil....

I hope Belgium puts a good fight, very intriguing if they can get their offense going against a true powerhouse.
