all these goalkeeper mistakes make me view Karius ina different light though. Imo Karius has nothing to be ashamed of, since these other goalies have also made a loooot of mistakes on the big stage. Yea, Karius did it twice in the same game, but that's about it. He won't be getting offers from Real or PSG, but the guy will be fine, some laughs and giggles here and there, but my goodness have some of the goalkeepers sucked at this level.

One of the more pathetic things I've seen in a major sporting event.

The entire team gave up after Griezmann's goal. Really disappointing.

Better team won. Still sucks that Cavani couldn't play.

Better side won.

Brutal loss, that Muslera gaffe really killed the morale....(not to mention losing Cavani since the jump really disrupted chemistry up top(Stuani was pathetic))

it's called passion and love for the game, while also understanding that cavani and suarez will be too old to be major difference makers at the next world cup so Uruguays window might be shut for the meantime. But gimenez is only 23 so in 8 years there might be more talent available.

Sorry dude, everyone has passion for the game. Never seen a grown man break down and start crying in the middle of the match before. That was uncomfortable and pretty ridiculous.

Sorry dude, everyone has passion for the game. Never seen a grown man break down and start crying in the middle of the match before (or any sporting event other than when Monica Seles got stabbed...). That was uncomfortable and pretty ridiculous.

he's 23, so a legal adult, but far from being a grown man / emotionally mature, very very far from it

You don't understand how we feel here about futbol. It's like a religion.

That's passion right there, i'm from Uruguay and proud of Gimenez, he cried but also didn't give up , he tried to win until the game was over, so the crying was just passion.
