What is this MLS? What kind of sports do they play there?

Damn....beat me to it! Zlatan's first goal with Galaxy was a thing of beauty. I only know because my buddy had this hair to become a big fan of LAFC (I'll check in on him in 3 months and see how that's going). He told me to youtube it.

Honestly...who watches the MLS? There's so much good footy to watch out there. If your a fan....hey, it's your life. Have fun with it. I can't stomach it personally. Maybe it's the camera angles??? It just moves so slow. Too many guys are still seriously crap passers. Hard to ever get a real nice exchange going. And yes....I've watched a few games in the past few years. So I'm not talking about something I've never seen. I used to goto alot of Galaxy games back when they played in Rose Bowl the Cienfuegos <---spelling and Kobe Jones days. Been to a dozen or so games since they moved to UC-Dominguez Hills..or wherever that is.

It's gettin better. The overall talent level is way, way higher.....but still got a ways to go imo.

The problem with MLS is 1. A built in Salary cap and 2. The Amateur Draft. Until they do away with those things, the league will always be 2nd fiddle to leagues across Europe. Players will go where the $$$ is.

Yeah....he thinks the whole 'playoff' thing is a joke. I always have too. Basketball has all these meaningless games, and it's a farce that someone with a sub-.500 record can squeeze in, and win the whole thing. At least with football, there are so few games, they all matter...but every other sport has tons and tons of games that mean squat (don't get me started on baseball...jesus).

I get it....playoffs are exciting. But have you ever stopped and wondered why? "The REAL season" they often call it. First off...what a giant middle-finger to all the people who pay for the regular season. And maybe....just maybe (in some far off fantastical world) if you made the winner of the season get the title....you'd have all these exciting playoff games throughout the whole year?!?!

Wasted words...I know. America will never give up it's cash-cow. Why we accept a 162-game 'meaningless' baseball season, I will never know...but it is what it is.

My one defense for playoffs: the tactical game of chess in a good 6-7 games series is definately something special.

I see how to a foreign player though....it makes the whole thing a joke.

Yeah, it's why American Football is my favorite sport by far. Always has been.

Baseball has never been my thing. Like you say, way too many games. And those games are 3 hours long. Why do people enjoy cricket? :dontknow:

It's also why I watch less & less basketball each year. I loved the NBA as a kid. But overtime the appeal has waned. Mainly due to the Sonics leaving & the creation of the whole "Super Team" craze. Whether people want to admit it or not, parity is a big problem.

I'd feel the same way about the Bundesliga or some of these other leagues across Europe. What's the point in following, when you already know the future outcome?

I just wish old footballers would retire gracefully and keep their mouths shut as they do it.
