That wouldn't be a surprise we've just managed 1 point against 10 men Southampton and Newcastle. :noway:

We'll probably split. Take your pick, top 4 or the cup.

Not sure a win against you will be enough for top 4. So does that mean I'll take the FA CUP?

Leicester really NEED to beat Manchester United on Tuesday to apply a little pressure to Chelsea and the others who are chasing the two of us. A loss and I think CL is finished for us.

The FA Cup and another EL place will be a successful season but also a disappointment. A CL spot and losing finalists will be a very successful season and heartbreaking. Can't you let us beat you in both matches and we'll let you win the Champion's league.

It's been over for months. Absolute shambles of a season.

I'm so numb to this team that I'm not even bothered by Kane leaving at this point. Reinvest the money in the squad, get the new coach in, and rebuild.

Probably the best course of action. We pretty much regurgitated the ~150M's we got from Hazard into a brand new squad with some needed signings in Werner (he's been good, idc), Havertz, Chilwell and Mendy primarily. You guys could coup that *2 since Son also probably wants the chance to compete for a champions league and Spurs are in that awkward spinning tires phase.

Though it hasn't been announced, I think that Son is about to sign a new contract so he's probably going to stay.

The main positive that I can take from this season is how well Oliver Skipp is playing during his loan spell at Norwich. You could make a case for him being the best player in the Championship, he's been absolutely bossing it. He can come back and immediately upgrade our central midfield, which is in desperate need of restructuring.

Also, Juan Foyth has been playing fairly well during his loan at Villarreal. It's pretty likely that Villarreal will trigger his option to buy, though, so there's a chance he won't be coming back.

That's really cool if Son is willing to stay even if Kane ends up moving on.

Spurs squad is so mismatch. I guess step one should be finding a quality gaffer (easier said than done), and then parsing Ligue 1 and South America for undervalued talents. The entire backline needs to be reworked. Enough with the Aurier/Dier/Davinson Sanchez types. They're cooked.

Heard a rumor that we almost sold Rüdiger to you while Lamps was still here. That would have been shambolic for us, he's a horse.

Jonny Evans good to go? If he's out that might be a nail in the coffin...

I still think you guys are in comfortable position to secure top 4. The game in hand fixture for Liverpool is against United and the one for West Ham is against Everton, could very likely deliver two favorable results and some needed breathing room.

Evans was on crutches after the match. I think he'll be out for Manchester and then try to play through the pain against you.

Even if Manchester do against Liverpool what Manchester city couldn't do against you yesterday we'll still need to get 7 points from Manchester U, Chelsea and Spurs. we could do that but playing how we have recently we won't get any. I guess it'll go down to the last day with us needing to get points against spurs in front of a stadium full of spurs supporters.

Man united win, West Ham lose, Everton win.

United have secured CL football through the prem route.

Chelsea need 6 points, Leicester need 7 to be sure of CL through the prem.

Liverpool now with the next best chance with 69 point max, West Ham and Everton 67, spurs 65.

Man U now have a massive say over the next 4 days. Leicester on Tuesday and Pool on Thursday. A win against one and a loss against the other could be decisive.

Great second half. 2 lovely goals. Sure Manchester played a weakened team but it was still a great lineup (I bet it cost more than ours) and they only lost after Cavani and Rashford came on. Now I believe Manchester will beat Liverpool to set us up for CL football.

another big match in the CL battle tonight when chelsea take on Arsenal. It's the type of game that "good" arsenal could turn up and put the cat amongst the pigeons. Would be good for their Europa league hopes too as a loss could mean that Arsenal have NO European football next season. That would probably mean no big name signings but the chance for youth to come through (like Chelsea).

An Arsenal win didn't surprise me. Chelsea were not focussed on this match and Arsenal were.

The Chelsea v Leicester prem match should now mean that the winner is in the CL. Villa and Man U wins would be nice this evening. If Liverpool and Everton win then the pressure will really be on our league game as likely Liverpool take a top 4 spot.

I read that each of Arsenal's last 8 wins against Chelsea have been against different managers:

Claudio Ranieri
Avram Grant
Felipe Scolari
Carlo Ancelotti
André Villas-Boas
Antonio Conte
Maurizio Sarri
Frank Lampard
Thomas Tuchel

Well United let me down big time :-)

Going into the FA Cup final the biggest game for Prem CL positions looks like being Chelsea against Leicester. Liverpool's win last night means that they just need to beat 3 poor teams with nothing to play for in order to claim a CL spot. and possibly 3rd in the league which will look pretty good.

Predicted finishing positions:

Liverpool 69
Chelsea 68
Leicester 68
West Ham 67
Everton 62
Spurs 61

I could also see Chelsea beating us in the league and us beating spurs then it'd be

Chelsea 70
Liverpool 69
Leicester 69

To miss out by goal difference would be a killer.

Lampard to Crystal Palace.
Excellent choice imo.

He's got a lot of work to do because they seem to have a dreadful roster filled with selfish players...

At least that was my perception when I watched them a couple times this year.

Gonna be hard to really establish team football there.

I agree. time to let Zaha go. He was a good player but he's a waste of space with his attitude. Bring the youth through, Lampard is good with youngsters too.

Well, we won today against Wolves. That's 3/4 league games under Ryan, albeit against mostly poor opposition. I don't really like his subs and love of Winks, but fair play to him for giving it a decent go and letting the team play freely to take a little bit of positivity going into next season.

We'll need to win out to secure top 6 and EL football, and given that Leicester are waiting for us I can't see it happening. Not a good season at all considering how promising things started. Lost the manager, will probably lose Kane, and other players too. The new coach has a rebuilding job on his hands, but I hope he keeps Ryan in the coaching staff to some capacity.
