Mexico wins 2-1 in El Salvador. That second goal was an offside in my opinion...im really gonna hear about it tomorrow morning at work from my Salvadorian buddies

Yes, Moreno's goal was definitely offside. ES gets screwed out of a point but I still favor them to go the hexagonal because of their draw @ CR. They just now have to get points when they go to Guyana and not drop any against CR at home, which is doable. Mexico hasn't really looked that good in these first 2 games but they'll likely win the rest of their matches in this round. If they were going to lose a game this round, San Salvador was it.

USA gets the draw @ Guatemala. They had the lead and lost it but I guess I'll take a road point. Not a very good game from the midfield but I do like the way the Goodson/Bocanegra partnership in central defense looked. Fabian Johnson is emerging into quite a player. Donovan has been pretty subpar since the Scotland game IMO.

Moreno's goal wasn't offside. No one touched the ball. I kept watching the replay, the ball's trajectory was constant all the time before it got to Moreno.

I'm more surprised about Ecuador beating Colombia yesterday.

I was not surprised with the result since Ecuador was at home, but I am really disappointed with the Colombian team. They have Falcao, Guarin (Inter), James (Porto), Cuadrado, Zuniga, Armero, all from the Italian league and yet they have looked completely inert. They played well against Mexico, but had looked like garbage ever since.

Does anyone think Colombia underachieves? They have talented players in Falcao, Jackson Martinez, Guarin, James Rodriguez, Armero, Cuadrado, Muriel, Zuniga, among other decently talented players. Yet we are probably gonna miss the world cup yet again

I see Colombia finishing 4th(auto) or 5th(playoff) and the playoff would be against 5th place Asia, so I would favor them in that matchup.

Yes of course they are. Especially since they have the best striker in the world. 8-)

Great first half for Canada but nothing to show for it.

The game is getting so chippy. It's crazy that we play them again on Tuesday.

Yes!!! I did not expect this at all, but finally we show our offensive arsenal. This was a beauty, although the score is clearly a result of an early goal for Falcao. That forced Uruguay to change their approach and that worked to our advantage. Now on to Chile, tough game but hopefully we can carry our momentum there and win

Yes Yes Yes!!!

Sneaky win for Canada but I will take it. We had a pretty poor second half but some quick thinking means we now lead the group.

We really need to find more scoring opportunities though, we are having a real issue scoring in this group.

Biggest win for us since the 2000 Gold Cup. Need to follow it up with another big game in Panama. 100% agree with our problem scoring goals but it is not just a problem in this round. We did not score a goal against Puerto Rico either in the last round. Josh Simpson can bring speed on the left side with Jackson on the right side would help a lot. That was a big loss for us. We need him back ASAP. Obviously being able to finish the chances we get would help too. McKenna needs to finish that 2nd chance in the 1st half.
