Not going to create a new thread for it, but not to go beyond off topic,

It would be pretty cool if that each region will pick their best XI and play in a quick playoff tournament.... Best of Europe vs Best of South America etc....

Wouldn't that be similar to a european champion's league game. :D

Europe has better footballers than South America, definitely. How many South American players would be in a World XI? 2?

At least 9 out of the top 12 best players in the world are Europeans.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

Neuer

Aurier-Godin-Thiago Silva-Marcelo

Busquets

Modric/Vidal- Verratti/Vidal

Messi-Suarez-neymar

That's 6.5 out of 11 right there.

on 2015 FIfa Pro team, it consisted of 5 South americans and 6 europeans.

You have

Team South America:

Bravo

Alves/Marquinhos-Godin-Silva-Marcelo

Vidal-Mascherano

Messi

Alexis-Suarez-Neymar

I would take my chances with team South America over Europe anyday.

line by line

Its close in the front, the Barsa Trio of southamericans is on par or a bit better than a Bale-Cristiano-Griezmann line.

But it stops there.

There is no Gk close to Neuer in south america ( nor close to De Gea , Courtois, Oblak or even Ancient Buffon).

Then in the middle, nothing half as good as a Pogba, Iniesta, Verrati line.

and i have a difficult time finding a back four that would top Ivanovic, Pique,Chiellini ,Alaba

HAHAHA...

BBC + Griezmann are nowhere near MSN in terms of attacking talent or ability.

PIQUE? REALLY? IVANOVIC REALLY? That's who you rate as Europe's best backline? and would be better than Alves/Marquinhos-Thiago-Godin-Marcelo?

Verratti and modric are definitely Europe's/World's best Cms, however, not Pogba and definitely not current Iniesta.

Hmmm. I think itd be a good game but they'd just act like an all star game and it'd just get silly

Bravo

Luis/alves silva godin marcelo

Vidal-casemiro-James

MSN

Bench ADM, DYBALA, Aguero, Higuain, marquinhos, etc.

Europe is bit harder because it's deeper.

Hmm a bit of homerism there. Aguero, dybala, higuain are better than ibra. Ddg is not a top 15 player in the world. Vidal is on par with busquets.

This is a stupid discussion, uefa would win this imaginary scenario but let's not be bias either. Now turns out only Europe produces top talent lol. Good thing 3 of the top 4 in the world are S. American and the rest are a joke lol

that could be what Europe say about international teams - which is where we started.

Europeans outside of the English it seems, don't seem to care for the international games much. It's all about club football. Most fans hate the international breaks from what I've seen. I don't blame them. Rarely get any good games in Uefa and there are always injuries. Really glad this last one seemed to be injury free. Madrid got decimated with injuries from international breaks the last 2 years

Ronaldo grew up in an island off the coast of Africa and Bale is from the British isles which no long considers it apart of Europe so technically speaking the European team is actually weaker.

You mean how Europe has over 3x the amount of South america teams that are in the tournament?

Or maybe the fact that FIFA is pretty much an European organization.

Why would a European team win?

Let's say I take one of your Europe's starting 11...(Selected by you guys)

Neuer
Lahm-Ramos-Pique-Alaba
Kroos
Verratti-Pogba
Bale-Lewandwoski-Cristiano

v

Bravo
Alves-Godin-Silva-Marcelo
Mascherano-Vidal
Messi
Sanchez-Suarez-Neymar

You really think team Europe would win?

Leaving the European Union doesn't mean that Britain isn't part of the continent of Europe, which has of course existed long before the EU, and will most likely still be around when the EU is gone. That's like saying Swiss, Ukrainian and Norwegian players aren't European because they aren't part of the EU.
