Dortmund wasted their chances, and then lost their composure after Ramsey's goal. Looked like the dortmund of two years ago. Oh well, if they beat Napoli in the return match they should get through, especially if they get some help from Arsenal. And hopefully Mats and Ilkay are back soon.

I'm guessing Gundogan will be back well before February? :sigh:

got lucky tonight but a good win and one step closer to qualification , team full of confidence going into sunday.

Giroud was DEAD tired , getting a striker in january will be a must. I cant wait to see this team when they get relatively healthy

Fun fact: in this CL, Dortmund has achieved 2 victories and 2 losses.

Both victories were with Zeljko Buvac.
Both losses were with Jürgen Klopp.

You do the math :D

To take it further in both Klopp games Dortmund could be accused of playing naively, while in the two Buvac matches they were cold pros...that said I'm glad Klopp's back, Arsenal may have won, but if Dortmund can play the way they did the first hour they'll put a few past any team on any other day. They were flying and swarming magnificently unlike the previous match where they looked distinctly un-dortmund like at the emirates. Team also needs to show better resolve down the stretch so they can win games like the malaga tie of last season when they'll have to. Still though, their fate is in their hands and one can only hope that their fortune with injuries is improving. Cause Mats and ilkay where clearly missed despite the solid games by sokratis and Sahin.

man how do dortmund press that hard and still have the energy to continue all game long , the first part of the second half was vicious. Seemed like there was an extra yellow shirt on the field

Isn't that basically what we're used seeing from most (good) German teams by now? Their way of pressuring and their top notch physical conditioning (even historically speaking) wears opponents out.

Klopp: "Yes, #Arsenal can win the Champions League, as long as they don't play Bayern Munich! They are young, healthy and good technicians."

we aren't healthy and I dont think we can win the CL(think we can play with anyone but bayern), but i'll take the praise from klopp

Good day for EPL teams. Chelsea dominated and Arsenal got a great win on the road. This group is super hard. Wonder who will be left out

"Once Aaron Ramsey starts scoring goals, he will not stop."
-Arsene Wenger, 2012

Wenger knows.

Glad to see Giroud so high, he's a workhorse. Thought Rosicky would have been higher on the list, but I guess half the time he was mid slide-tackle

I know it's being a poor sport but Pique talks so much **** about Madrid that I can't help but laugh when he puts one in behind Valdes.

Really hope we can extend him, and if he does end up hanging up his boots then I hope he comes through as our coach some years from now. Arguing with the coach about tactics even when we score.

Will reunite with Jose at Chelsea next season. Benitez, Torres, Alonso... only Gerrard left.

Idk, I don't think he'll join a new club at this stage of in his career. LFC or Sociedad may seem less plausible at this point but I still see him choosing them over Chelsea. Even this summer he spoke about how the only three clubs he will ever support are RM, RS, and LFC.

Speaking of Chelsea, Madrid are considering a 20M move for Ramires.

20 mil is peanuts for Ramires, that price alone won't get you him

100M for Bale, but 20M for Ramires? Ramires is one of the best players in the world to have in big matches.

Even if good money was offered and the player asked to leave (which he said he wouldn't), this isn't a selling club. We would let him rot in the youth team like Malouda before selling him to a CL rival.
