Gunna laugh so hard when Dortmund eliminate real again.
Hopefully they get PSG or Barca/Athletico in the semis and save Bayern for the final. Shame that Bayern's two biggest threats are facing each other though.

Good, the more people think Dortmund have no chance, the sweeter their victory will be.

You can't be serious about a Dortmund win. I wish them all the luck in the world and hope that they will win the game, but I see close to zero chance for them.

Other than München who's playing better football than Madrid? They shouldn't have any trouble dispatching of a weakened Dortmund team.

Re: 2013
Really hoping the first leg is in Dortmund. It'd be nice to thrash them in their own ground the way we got beat last year, even if it is against a shell of their former team.
I think Chelsea have got the best match up. PSG have even steadily improving in Europe and I think this year they could make semis if they keep up their form.
What are the odds of United doing to Bayen what Chelsea did to Barca a couple years ago?

I think there's a great chance they'll win the tie. Real Madrid are a great team, but Dortmund have their mojo going in europe this year and are an elite side to. With Hummels back that means a lot and Lewy having missed the first leg should have a big return match in the second. Dortmund are a tough matchup for Real and I'm expecting a very tight cagey first game even without Lewy there.

If Real keep their current form going, forget about this Dortmund side being a legit threat. Ancelotti has them playing well (organized). This isn't Mourinho's anti-football playing side we're talking about, this team is capable of beating opponents in different ways.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

I've never heard that one before
A more injured Dortmund gave Bayern all they could handle earlier in the season, and Real are no Bayern. This will be a tight matchup because Dortmund's pressing won't let Real keep their form going, and I expect a huge game from Lewy or Reus in the return leg to decide it for BVB.Capn'O wrote:We're the recovering meth addict older brother. Real is arguably the second maybe first best team in the cl right now. They are not the same team they were last year. Don't underestimate them. The Ronaldo bale combo is deadly right now. I'm not necessarily rooting for either team but I enjoy watching Cristi play.

I don't agree with you on this one. Dortmund looked piss poor in many games in the Rückrunde so far. Their pressing game seems to be a shadow of what it was in the last few years which is understandable considering how many injuries they face currently.

I wouldn't argue with anything said here other than real being maybe the first best team. I think Real are the only team to threaten Bayern other than Dortmund, I just think Dortmund goes through, I expect a very cagey first leg that ends a tie or one goal win for Real, and I expect a big game from lewy on his return in the second leg for Dortmund to sneak through. They have a mojo in europe this season that's getting it done, despite everything working against them and I expect it to keep going against Real.

Dortmund's form in the league and in europe have rarely matched up, and this season has been a prime example as they've topped the group of death and secured passage to the QFs in the first leg. It's clear that the CL is their primary focus which is why you can't take their league form around CL fixtures too seriously until they improve that depth and have better luck with health, otherwise you'd get swept up in the loss to Hamburg that came right around the thumping of zenit in st petersburg.
The injuries suck, but the backline will be good with Hummels back and Schmelzer hurt. If Kehl has a strong match the midfield will give Real all sorts of fits, and in the second leg Lewy will be back with fire in his belly like he did in first leg last season.
I'm generally pretty reasonable with my expectations, I'm happy that schalke and leverkusen just made it out of their groups, I'm happy my eiserne are in the hunt for promotion, I'm happy the avs are going to the playoffs, even if the hawks are gunna smack us, but I just don't see Dortmund going out at this point, it very well could happen but I don't think it will.

Styles make fights and Dortmund's style makes it hard for anyone to shiny playing their game. With the way they've taken their just-get-it-done-ness from the BuLi to the CL I really think Dortmund will take this.

Hope you're right. But, I haven't been very impressed with Dortmund when I've seen them this year, but I'd love to seem them beat Madrid.
