He's worth about 25 and they know it. They also need to sell their foreign players.

100M is his release clause. He can certainly go for lower than that.

They bought him for 40M 4 years ago and can sell him for 25M and still make money because the Ruble is so bad right now.

As long as Own Goal keeps playing well for Arsenal, I don't think we need any more players.

Why do they need to sell them?

Its a rule in russia, where they can only have so many foreign players, similar to the homegrown rule in england. They have 3 too many I think. I don't know what the consequences are though.

Kahn used cheat codes over a short tourney, not a full season. Plus that team gets under-rated. Ballack was just as important and talismanic as Kahn at the tourney, Miro broke onto the scene, as did Lahm, Frings was an excellent partner for Ballack, and the white Brazilian was just a joy to watch play. Certainly not a very strong team, but they had a few really nice supporting pieces around Kahn & Ballack who's contributions have been forgotten to time because of the way Ollie and Michael's brilliance over-shadowed them.

Unless they changed the rules this summer the rule only applies to starting 11s; where they have a 6+5 quota system for how many "domestic" players must be in the starting 11 for league matches. I'm pretty sure there may also be a minimum number of domestic players a team must have on their whole roster; but there's no limit on how many foreign players a team can have signed, only on how many of them can start at the same time in league play.

EDIT:
I know there weren't any rumors, but I'm surprised Napoli have managed to still hold onto Hamsik for this long. Adding him to replace Vidal would've been tremendous for Juve, even before Sami broke; and he's basically a rich man's Hernanes...who they ended up buying instead. Pogba and Hamisk on either side of Marchisio, with Pereyra, Sami, and Sturaro off of the bench wouldn't skip a beat from Pogba and Vidal/Marchisio on either side of Pirlo/Marchisio.

Nevermind how much sense Hamsik would have made for United while they were failing to piece together a good midfield; or how perfectly he would fit into a Simeone side.

I've been pretty bullish on Dortmund the last few years. They won league, then were European contenders. Last season they had a hellish time with injuries. Now they have a bunch of those players back, including a strong 2-way fb in Schmelzer, and namely Marco Reus, the best player in the league (although Costa the Bossta can now lay claim), a rich man's Eden Hazard. Now add Januzaj, who is another dynamic player, that IMO was unfairly overlooked for vets and big money players after a very promising start at ManU. Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang really improved from experience last year. They should get an honorary inclusion to the Champion's league (half kidding). They're going to have to settle for giving Bayern a run for the money in the BL. I hardly think it's a given Bayern win league again this year, especially when you consider Dortmund can put all their focus and resources toward that goal.

I'm finding the Martial and Januzaj moves absolutely desperate. Almost as desperate as LVG's substitutions against Swansea. It's hard not to chuckle whenever Ashley Young is brought on, no matter his recent form. And the "Carrick-Schweini, Carrick-Schweini, Schweini-Carrick, Schneiderlin-Carrick" sequence of substitutions in the first 4 weeks is comical.

Manure have really done very badly with transfers. Why transfer out attackers when you don't have any? Why bring in an overpriced kid when you've just sent one out?

Van Gaal won't last till Christmas.

West Ham look like they've picked up some nice players.

Arsenal? Spurs?

Chelsea okay but looks like Man City to walk the title.

The only real weak spots for Arsenal are the outside backs and central striker from what I've seen. I really like Bellerin though and unless you're getting a Lacazette, I don't think there's much point in transferring in a ST. They should be fine, unless there's a depth concern I'm not aware of.

Berahino says he will never play for WBA again. And wait...what's that pitter patter I'm hearing...my god, he's here, the king of low ballz

um...Per is still a big part of the CB rotation, Coq is their 6, and there was a number of forwards they could've bought who'd have better complimented Lexi and Mesut even without shelling out for Lacazette, which I agree would have been a great buy for them.

Not jumping all over Witsel though is just baffling to me.
