Jonjo Shelvey moves to Newcastle for a reported £12m. Probably too high for him. Also, a lateral move at best to go from one relegation candidate to another.

If jonjo shelves costs 12 million pound, i swear some of us can be worth about 1 million in english market. How stupid these teams are seriously? Who on the earth pay jonjo **** shelvey 12 million pound?

Agreed.

There's much better value in the Championship and League One, if Premier League teams really want to sign young English players. I sometimes wonder what PL scouts are being paid for.

Considering guys like Dier or Alli were found for 4M each, there is really no excuse. Both nearly made instant impacts, Alli moreso.

Southampton have signed Charlie Austin.

Good signing, imo. £4m is an excellent price for a PL proven striker.

I wonder nobody from Bundesliga was interested in him? What a bargain he wouldve been. 40 goals a season for only 7 mil.

We got 11-12 mil. from Leicester for 29 y/o Okazaki. I'd say we got a better deal.

Austin got sold for £4 million, none of the people in charge of transfers (I'm looking at you Enemalo) decided to try and take a punt at him? Actually more surprised Spurs didn't try for him considering how they've been looking for a striker for a while.
