Man, that Reus injury looked really bad.
He couldn't put any weight on his ankle and it could be it for him. Löw just said that his foot was pretty badly swollen.

Though, Poldi for the win.

BTW: Playing Höwedes at LB has got to be a joke. Even though he scored today, he's just so limited technically that it isn't even funny.
Better teams will expose that and it will be tough to do anything against those teams, with Höwedes needing 30 seconds to secure a pass.

Bild is reporting that Reus has partially ruptured a ligament in his left ankle and won't need surgery.

Though, it still seems like he'll be done for the tournament and might be replaced by Kevin Volland.

Reus is out of the WC. Guess who replaces him. Volland? Meyer? Nope. It's **** Mustafi. It's not that I don't like him (and actually would have had him in ma initial roster). BUT YOU DON'T **** REPLACE A **** WINGER with a CD. I'm **** done. **** Löw. **** Bierhoff. **** them all.

Well, Volland must have been terrible at that training camp or stepped on Jogi's scarf or something...

But hey, we're playing four centre backs in the back line so we need replacments. :P

+ Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Klose, Lahm & Neuer not at 100%.
Schmelzer didn't get nominated so he probably wasn't healthy either.

No way are we winning this tourney.

You don't wanna win the World Cup with those ridiculous kits anyway.

It was going to be Volland, Mustafi, Schmelzer or ter Stegen (yes, him) anyway, b/c all other players had been cleared enter their holidays. That being said, Mustafi is a) a vote of confidence for our offense and b) a vote of mistrust vs our defense. Still, I would have chosen Volland :nonono:

Losing Reus is a huge blow, but last time, losing Ballack was, too - and we still did well

A semi decent coach would still be able to compete with the injury riddled group of players we have. I doubt Löw will be able to, though.

Just one (incredibly old) striker on the roster is hilarious. Also, Mustafi has no shot to play even if one of Mertesacker, Boateng, Hummels & Höwedes goes down.
Volland or Kruse wouldve been good.

I doubt that.

Löw's playing four centre backs(even freakin Benedikt Höwedes at LB, a position he hardly ever played) and thanks to that has only Ginter as a backup centre back.

Reus is just a huge loss because we've got no one comparable on the roster. Others can fill the position but they don't have the combination of scoring goals, assisting and technical abilities like Reus.
Though, look out for Poldi to start and aggressively lead the team while scoring goals with his huge left foot. :P

BTW: Not selecting Kruse to that 30 man squad and pretty much kicking him off the team might come back to bite Löw in the a$$. At least he would've given the team a different look, as he's played in the middle throughout the whole last Bundesliga season.

At least I'm pretty sure Löw will be gone after the WC.

No way. With all of these injuries Jogi could fail to get out of the group and keep his job.

They already said they want to keep Löw independant ob the WC result. DFB is a horrible organization.

Anything less then a semifinal berth would be hard to explain to the media, which is really adding pressure.
If we don't make it out of the group stages(which I still don't see happening), then he'll be gone for sure.

If I actually believed that I'd root for it. Bet the DFB could hijack Tuchel's move to Schalke if they made their move after the WC, but since it's not even a possibility there's no point. We could've added a WC and EC but instead we'll squander our talent for at least one more cycle.
