Same chances as Porto?

Really? I thought Spain was way ahead since they constantly send 2 teams to the semis and have been great on the EL
yeah last year spain was at 20.214 and italy at 19.000. guess half spain's teams didnt do anything.
Its strange, in last five years :
CL
Champions: Spain 3 Italy 0
Finalists: Spain 1 Italy 1
1/2: Spain 6 Italy 0
1/4: Spain 3 Italy 3
Uefa Cup
Champions: Spain 3 Italy 0
Finalists: Spain 1 Italy 0
1/2: Spain 3 Italy 3
1/4: Spain 0 Italy 0
That is not even close.
And that includes Rm, Fcb, Atm,Seville, Valencia, Villareal, Ath Bilbao All of then being in that list.
Italy is Mainly Juve and some Milan, Nap, Fiorentina points.

Porto and Bayern can't be in the same tier. Doesn't make sense at all.

I have nothing against Porto, actually I always liked them. Just saying they aren't on Bayern's level.

As a fan of Bayern, I disagree. But just as you like it, I'm gonna show you some facts which back it up.
UCL is the biggest stage in European club football because the best teams directly compete against each other. So the recent success there should be a reasonable indicator. I'm picking the last 6 years as a sample size (not by coincidence though).
Real:
2010: Round of 16 (Lyon 1:2)
2011: Semi Final (Barca 1:3)
2012: Semi Final (Bayern 3:4 on penalties)
2013: Semi Final (BVB 3:4)
2014: Winner (Atletico 4:1 after extra time)
2015: Semi Final (Juventus 2:3)
Barca:
2010: Semi Final (Inter 2:3)
2011: Winner (United 3:1)
2012: Semi Final (Chelsea 2:3)
2013: Semi Final (Bayern 0:7)
2014: Quarter Final (Atletico 1:2)
2015: Winner (Juventus 3:1)
Bayern:
2010: Final (Inter 0:2)
2011: Round of 16 (Inter 3:3 on away goals)
2012: Final (Chelsea 4:5 on penalties)
2013: Winner (BVB 2:1)
2014: Semi Final (Real 0:4)
2015: Semi Final (Barca 3:5)
Barca has without a doubt the best track record. But as you should acknowledge, Bayern has outperformed Real in UCL recently while reaching the final 3 times in 6 years.
In general, all 3 teams have established themselves as perennial semi finalists. In case of Bayern, this development has started in 2010 while van Gaal was their coach and they finally started to buy players not randomly but with a strategy.
So when talking about probabilities of winning the cup, I think the teams are on the same level and it depends on many little factors which side wins/advances (e. g. luck, injuries, form, refereeing,...) as soon as they face each other. In spring 2014 and 2015, Bayern did have some bad luck and was therefore not able to give Real and Barca a better fight. But it shouldn't neglect the fact that their team is pretty stacked, consistently among the top 4 teams in Europe and therefore on the first level alongside Barca and Real.

Im not German and i have stated Bayern is on par with Real and Barcelona.
Pity post ferguson Mufc is a disaster and that MIlan seem to be in a Hughe slump.
They would be on the same tier otherwise.

Brugge takes down Panathinaikos
Great!
Inreality both clubs shouldnt ahve been matched up against each other.....they are good enough tobe on the group stage.
Now probably NONE of them will be.

Serbia have a golden youth currently and Partizan owns quite a number of those.
Also, it's not a surprise Red Bull failed to qualify for the group stage. They always do.

Yeah, they always crap their pants.
BTW: Here's my highly educated guess about the pairings for those playoffs.
Champions Route
Astana vs Zagreb
Malmö vs Basel
Korce vs Celtic
Maccabi vs BATE
Partizan vs Nikosia
League Route
Monaco vs Manchester United
Brugge vs Sporting CP
Rapid Vienna vs Leverkusen
CSKA Moscow vs Valencia
Lazio vs Donezk

RB Salzburg are a joke of a "club".
A decade after they started they still havent made the CL. And Platini even made it easier for teams from smaller countries to qualify.
Will Mateschitz quit and focus on Leipzig?
