I've been disappointed with Spurs' performances this season, but United have massive problems by comparison. Every season it feels like they spend a lot of money and somehow their squad gets worse.

Well if you invest 100+ in the likes of Maguire and Fred it shouldnt surprise anyone they are not ablento compete.

Absolutely, their recruitment has been abysmal over the last few years. I don't mind the Wan-Bissaka and James signings, mind you, it's just they're not difference makers at this point in time.

This could be a thrashing. Newcastle down to 10 and 3-0 down, Leicester looking hungry to add more.

Interesting how Brendo already has Leicester playing that full-throttle style of football he had Liverpool playing when Suarez and Sturridge were going off in 2013/14. Like I said, they're gonna give a lot of teams problems.

Emery is a bum.
Three defensive midfielders and still we get caught on the break.

Aubameyang saving his *** again.

Think that game sums up Arsenal and Manchester at the moment. It could be a fun season.

Worst part was when the assistant ref put up the flag on that clear no offside goal by Aubameyang way early and ManU defense stopped playing before Auba actually scored.

"Mane is the man." No the man is whoever played that pass. As usual scorers are given way too much credit for their team's offensive exploits.

Couple of talking points from the Liverpool Leicester game. I suggest you watch the clips of both of them.

The Mané penalty - there was contact but not enough to send him over and he certainly exagerated badly. It wasn't clear and obvious so couldn't be overturned. I can accept it being given but we all know it wouldn't have been given at the other end.

The Choudhury tackle on Salah - there was nothing wrong with it, yes it was a foul but it wasn't dangerous or malicious, in fact it was pretty gentle just happened to roll on Salah's ankle. What annoys me most is that the tackle was attempted because the ref have ignored a blatant push by Salah on Soyuncu 1 second before which should have stopped the game.Even more annoying was Klopp exaggerating the tackle to deflect from the question about the penalty being a penalty.

Choudhury has had a lot of disgusting racial abuse online following this and I think klopp needs to take some of the responsibility for that. Whatever happend to kick racism out? On the same point it appears that Robertson called ayozé a "spic" at the end of the game. I'm sure it can't be proven but if true Robertson needs to go for racial counselling.

Couldnt ask for a more perfect start for Liverpool. Another City loss. The reds are now 8 points up on City.

How does this matter? Kicking omeone without touching the ball is a foul, How embillished it was is irrelevant

I actually haven't disputed that it was a foul.

People make contact with each other all the time in Football matches and this contact isn't classed as bad enough for a free Kick. If Mané hadn't acted out then this wouldn't have been a penalty - he wasn't touched in a way that would make any normal person fall over, It wouldn't have been a penalty in the other box if Vardy had done the same .

It is one that if the ref hadn't given it there is no way in a 1000 years that VAR would have given it.

In the end it was and Liverpool won . I accept that and also I already stated that Liverpool were the better team.

I realise that you are a Klopp groupie and this game must have been hard for you, Let's see if Liverpool can take the pressure that Man City (led so well by Pep) handled so well last season.

I may be a klopp groupie but you don't seem to understand how var works. It only has to be "clear and obvious on var. To go to var, it just needs to be arguable. It was arguably a foul to the ref and clearly a foul using var.

Also, I'm sorry, are you saying we should let defenders get away with cheating? Why wouldn't you embillish contact if you're fouled?

Spurs are just depressing lately. Disjointed and passionless. This has been going on for nearly a year now, but some good CL results have papered over the cracks.

Realistically I think the only hope for Poch is Lo Celso and Sessegnon coming in firing to slow the rot a little, but I think it's over for him, and this group of players. A new manager will most likely come in and try to clean up, and hopefully not play 3 CBs at home against Watford.

United looking quite good against Liverpool. 0-0 after half an hour.

1-0 now, that was coming. Foul in the build-up? Ref doesn't think so.

More VAR drama, Mane goal is ruled out for handball.
