Neither is washed up, and given how ageist the player market traditionally is, both are probably severely underpriced. The financial estimate on an EPL goal is ~3M now, so Ronaldo would have to score 8-9 goals this season to pay back his fees (ignoring wages).For a counterpoint, look at the market valuation history of Alvaro Morata, who despite spending most of his career at ~15 goals a season as a rotation option has been consistently worth >40M for the last 4 years for being near the peak striker age while his actual performance peak was in the year before that.
