Fair. Kanter has been playing very good past 2-3 years. Wiggins? Not proven yet. But his ceilings are up to the sky. Will he reach it? We don't know.

I think Wiggins is highly overrated personally. Better than Kanter though.

I don't think Kanter is bad, but he couldn't even defend Kirk Hinrich in the post and personally I hate big men like that. Easily one of the worst defenders out there. His offensive game and his rebounding are good and that will make him important for OKC, though.

Also, I'm not saying Wiggins will definitely be a superstar. But in the last few months of the season he got better and better, scored 20+ points in most of the games and showed his defensive potential. I take that over Kanter any day.

Kanter is the Chris Kaman of this generation. Scores a lot but useless when trying to win games because a horrible defender.

Tried that before(Clippers in 2008) and it just doesn't do it for me.
I'm even more interested college hoops(even though it's terrible at times) these days given that I've watched that for 20 years now and know that "my team" won't just be sent somewhere else.

I'm also a west coast guy(Pac 10, Zags and Sonics), when it comes to hoops, and would rather watch the Blazers or even some Lakers games(don't really like the Clippers anymore), cause I'd be able to watch some of them live getting up a bit earlier. :dontknow:

Though, I'd certainly watch a game here and there because I like Towns a bit and think Wiggins could be fun as well.

Magic or Jazz would make much more sense, or a real contender.

But the bottom line is that he's a Sonics fan. He has a team, they just don't currently exist. I would think someone who made fun of me for asking what EPL team I should follow casually would understand this. He's not asking for a team to follow because he doesn't need one. If he started to watch the league again, he would pick another team.

I feel for the Sonics, Det. They were one of my favorite teams, just loved the players, colors, jerseys, etc. Detlef, Kemp and Payton are some of my favorite non-Celtics players. Still wish you guys beat the Bulls, but mostly, I just want the franchise to return. Disgusting to see the Knicks/Kings/Raptors display extreme incompetence while the Sonics aren't even around. I really hope the franchise returns within a decade. I would be ecstatic.

I'm about as interested in fantasy hoops as I'm in curling at this point in thime.
This will be the 8th season without an NBA team to follow for me and I'm still not sure if I'll get league pass or not, to follow some of the youngsters I watched on college last year.

By saying that, I'm pretty sure you understand how well I'd keep my team updated during an 82 game season of fantasy hoops....

...curling is my favorite part of the winter olympics and has been since I discovered that there was a canadian bad boy of curling...

It's not a mentality issue. The teams behind Bayern just lack quality to compete with teams that can invest a hundred million or even more every year.

German teams are usually pretty good at squeezing the points out of teams they are supposed to beat. So they definitely don't have a mentality issue. They just don't have the financial ressources to compete with the big boys unless they manage to put an amazing core in place for little money...which only Dortmund was capable of in recent years.

The problem is everyone besides Bayern is a feeder club on European level. Whenever someone has a true star you could build a team around (like Wolfsburg did with De Bruyne) they'll be gone before that club was able to build a winning team around them.

It's not news, though, Serie A and Ligue 1 are certainly experiencing the same problem of having only one relevant team on CL knockout level.

Italian teams have a better mentality in the big games in Europe than German teams.

The reason why Germany have 4 CL places if because they(as you say) are great at beating the teams from smaller leagues.

Bundesliga is basically the Arsene Wenger of leagues.

So we're going to ignore that United and City are just straight up better, more talented teams than Wolfsburg or Gladbach and that it would've been pretty surprising to see the German teams win or even get a point? Why is everything a mentality issue for you?

OK, I know you have a hard time understanding this game, from time to time, but what the heck is it with you and that mentality nonsense all the time?

Yea we missed some chances but they scored two goals on set pieces and we were also denied a clear penalty in the 2nd half, as one of them Fernandos was clearly blocking Xhaka's shot with his hand a couple yards in front of goal.

The thing Schubert needs to work on is not overpacing and trying to be a bit more economical, cause we were on our last legs starting around that 65 minute mark, when they started getting a grip on the game.

I think that mentality thing started showing with Roma(a club I like BTW), who lost by just one goal at BATE Borisov.

Surely if it was Hamburg participating in EL they would win it all. Or more likely stumble across a Papierkugel from their own fans again.

Also Löw nominated Leno instead of Zieler for the upcoming NT games. After so many years now it seems he finally gets it that Zieler is an average keeper at best.
