Barca and Milan should sail thru.

Group A looks the toughest.

Madrid always seem to draw Lyon.

Only downer is we could play City in the first knock out stage or do they draw across A-D vs E-H for knock out rounds?

Pretty sure clubs from the same country can't face each other until after the first KO round.

Munich's group is pretty hard. But it could've been worse. City is obviously a very strong opponent. Villareal and Napoli are opponents you've gotta beat if you want to come far in the Championsleague.

Dortmund got a pretty good group with Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiakos. Even finishing 1st isn't out of question.

Leverkusen's group is solid as well. Chelsea is good, Valencia beatable and Genk should be beatable as well.

City's definitely going to be put to the test here. I'm okay with Chelsea's draw.

Man Utd got a comfortable draw. All the other English teams have tricky (at best) groups. When Genk, Dortmund and Napoli are your fourth seeds, you know you may be in for a tough time. Still think they should all advance, but I don't see Arsenal, City or Chelsea having the luxury of rotating their squads and playing fringe guys the way Man Utd should be able to.

City can rotate their squads. On paper, they can bench half their starters and still beat most semi-decent PL sides (or Villareal and Napoli).

Anyway this is how much Porto has to travel

and United will be playing at

lol

edit: their game will actually most likely be played at a UEFA-certified stadium in the capital

There are no "easy" groups anymore. Remember this?

And of course United and Barca get the easiest draws...

I actually think think City will roll over their group.

Lol Chelsea can't nominate Lukaku for their CL-squad because they don't have 5 home-grown players otherwise. You pay 20 mil. for a player and then you can't even use him in the CL. Haha, I gotta laugh so hard.

Sucks for Lukaku, though.

Isn't that always the case? Man U always has the easiest opponents.

I don't think City will roll over anything, Munich are on an even better streak than them and Ribery is on a mission this year. If Gomez keeps scoring those easy chances, City has no chance against them.

We have more than enough strikers available with Drogba, Torres, Anelka and Sturridge all able to play that position. Lukaku himself doesn't expect to play much this year. But what sucks is the exclusion of Bertrand who's the only natural LB we have other than Cole. If Cole gets injured, it's Ferreira at LB....

City has no chance? They're easily the favourites in that group, imo. They won't roll over Munich, but they're a better team, and will most likely win.

Arsenals hardest group stage fixture today away at Dortmund. Ramsey and Rosicky both out, but Song and Gervinho both back. Wenger still banned. Hopefully get a result, but it's a tough game. I guess we're looking at a Song-Frimpong-Arteta midfield, with Benayoun the only real option off the bench. Coquelin didn't travel with the team, so hopefully Song and Frimpong can refrain from being red carded today.
