Cuadrado got fouled (nothing too dirty) by Guarin and went to the ground. as he got up the ref was there giving Guarin a yellow...Guarin tried to get into Cuadrado's face and they exchanged a few words with the ref between them, and from what i recall that's all that really happened, along with Aquilani running in and shouting a few things also :dontknow: I think Cuadrado was just pissed about the amount of times he got fouled throughout the game

Cuadrado was fortunate with a deflection on his goal from outside the box yesterday. With no forwards (they started Ilicic as lone striker) and Borja Valero not playing, Cuadrado was basically the whole team...every time he got the ball his teammates pretty much stopped and stared while he broke a player or two lol. Inter won thanks to an offside goal

http://football-italia.net/45706/ranier ... ack-report

Claudio Ranieri could lose his job at Monaco come the end of the season, with former Juventus man Michael Laudrup replacing him.

The ex-Inter boss is under fire at the Ligue 1 club, with the principality outfit currently languishing five points behind Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the table.

And Calcio News citing ‘reports in the French media’ believe that the Italian is set to be fired come the summer.

They suggest that Laudrup, who was recently sacked by Premier League team Swansea, is the favourite to come in.

I'm not following the situation in Monaco but this seems kinda odd. Their team clearly doesn't have the same quality on their roster that PSG has, yet. Why fire a manager that is leading a newly promoted team to a respectable 2nd place?

That said, I was never a big fan of Ranieri.

Victor Valdes transfer to Monaco is off because of a "missing medical injury".

UEFA better throw them out of CL sooner than later. Breaking an agreement because the player tore his ACL. The injury is 3 months now...he must already be almost midway through the recovery process. He could've been ready by October or November at latest.

Disgusting club.

So? It's not the most popular league but at least we have somewhere for Ligue 1 fans.

Bump.

Anyone want to discuss the likelihood of Monaco pipping PSG this year? Or is it a done deal that PSG win? Can't wait to watch Monaco in the CL. Hope they keep James

Brandao breaks Thiago Motta's nose in tunnel altercation

While the injury of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the biggest news to come out of Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 win over Bastia on Saturday, another injury was suffered after the final whistle that you may not have heard about.

As both teams headed to their respective locker rooms, Brandao and Thiago Motta engaged in an altercation that left the PSG defensive midfielder with a fractured nose.

It remains unclear what triggered the incident, but in the video below, Brandao can clearly be seen headbutting Motta at the 0:14 mark after the two players approach each other.

With Origi (Lille) and Ilori (Bordeaux) playing on loan in the Ligue 1 this season, I think that I will be watching a bit more of it ...

Glad Paris lost for Lavezzi's disgraceful flop.

Funny that Zlatan mourns about the ref who rewarded him with a goal despite pushing a defender in the back for his initial goal and then was fooled by a blatant Lavezzi flop.

In the spirit of contribution to this thread, i'll offer the random observation that France have an absurd collection of young centre-backs.

Varane
Mangala
Laporte
Zouma

England would kill for just one of these guys. There are other good ones such as Umtiti and Koulibaly as well.

I always check table + scores from France but not much substance outside that. Apparently Javier Pastore has had a stellar season for PSG. True?

Lol the ref gave the wrong Lille player a second yellow/red. Credit to his assistant for correcting him

Of course Lavezzi is going to China. The guy always struck me as one of the least motivated and most cash-hungry players around.

He is an awful player. No idea how and why PSG got him in the first place.
