what is the difference between dominating the serie A and dominating the bundesliga?

Oh I was just teasing Massi since he was in our thread. Didn't really mean anything by it since I actually like you guys from the Serie A thread. Just couldn't pass on the chance to poke massi.

DFB giving Bayern the perfect schedule again.

Bayern will have the tough away trips to Hamburg, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Dortmund in the 2nd half of the season, but they are all in the beginning of the Rückrunde, and not in the run-in where Bayern have struggled in recent seasons.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

So you're actually listing HSV together with Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Dortmund? :P

Schedule is out now

The first weekend will include the following matchups:
Bayern vs HSV(season opener on August 14th)
Dortmund vs Gladbach
Leverkusen vs Hoffenheim
Wolfsburg vs Frankfurt
Stuttgart vs Cologne
Augsburg vs Hertha
Bremen vs Schalke
Mainz vs Ingolstadt
Darmstadt vs Hannover

BTW: Fun fact of the day.
On this day 50 years ago both Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga.
Both teams made a huge mark in german football.

No_20 is taking trolling to a different level. HSV a tough road trip for Bayern? What's their average score in Hamburg over the last 5 games? 6 goals per game?

Sold Geis, sold Okazaki. Only notable signing is Fabian Frei. We might sign Petersen as replacement for Okazaki. :banghead:

Relegation here we come.

Uhm, Bayern have only won 3 times in Hamburg the last decade. Only Gladbach have a similar great home record vs Bayern in that time span.

The game last year finished 0-0.

Over/under our lifetime that Union Berlin will be a relevant club?

You got Niederlechner, he'll surprise like Okazaki(who you really loved when he was signed  ) and keep you in the league. ;)

I'll believe it when I see it. He has virtually identic stats to Polter who has been an absolute scrub for us.
Until then I'll just assume those 2.5 mil. for him are a waste of money. :nonono:

The one hope for next season I do have is that Jairo will have a breakout season. He has a good technical ability and with one season under the belt he should be accustomed to the more physical style in the Bundesliga now.
Frei should be a good addition, too.

In terms of quantity the team will certainly have enough of that. I think we are currently at 30 players or so in the squad. Another 4 or 5 will hopefully leave to make room for some much needed quality signings because that is where the team is really lacking after Okazaki and Geis departure.
Basically, the roster is pretty mediocre throughout. There's not one position left where you could say "Hey, that's clearly better than what the average team in the league has". Maybe left back. But that's about it then.

Well, you are competing against freaking Hertha.

And who's saying Berlin is the clear cut coolest city. It's a toss-up between Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. It depends on what kind of a person you are and what you interests are.

Seems like we are about to sign Beister.

If the Wolves didn't have such a nice draft yesterday I'd probably throw my laptop out of the window once that move is confirmed.

So it's confirmed, he'll at least score ten for you this upcoming season.

BTW: Man I'd love to watch a draft with my team again.

It would make absolutely no sense to get him. Jairo and Clemens are ok. If you want to get another guy it must be an upgrade. Not to mention adding another guy to the roster will stand in the way of Parker & Pflücke (best youth talents at Mainz since Schürrle) getting games in the Bundesliga. :dontknow:

Out of their last 5 games in Hamburg, Bayern have won 4 (why would you ignore the Cup?). They may have been good at home vs Bayern before that, which has to be great for you since you love the past so much, but over the last 3 years it's not looking good for Hamburg. Certainly not a 'tough road trip'.

Because the league is an different competition.

How do you explain that Bayern have more league wins in Dortmund than in Hamburg since 2009 when they got Robben?

Ah okay, you don't like the Cup results so they don't count. Sounds fair.

Beister's actually best used as a forward these days(he was really good in that role for Düsseldorf) and not on the wings, especially since those injuries slowed him down a bit.
