I feel bad for Croatia. As a Serb, I'm supposed to cheer against them, but they really won me over this tournament. They're extremely talented and played hard every game. They were also probably the most sportsmanlike team in the tournament. They really kept the dirty play to a minimum (unlike France). They did Yugoslavia proud. Having said that, France is my second favourite team and I'm happy they won. They are absolutely stacked, and did what they were supposed to do (at least in the second half).

Really fun game and France won it fair and square, lol at the guys blaming the refs for the win

Really liked Croatia during the worldcup, such a fun team to watch

this was a really a weird game, it had a little bit of everything. the croatia goalkeeper was useless, he didnt help the team at all

Great WC win for France, finally played the way their talent on paper suggests... good play after group stage.

The Croatian goalkeeper had legs of stone.... the guy couldn't move on those last two? I wonder if the passed injuries held up?

The guy didn't even move for those.

Unlucky for Croatia. dominated first half and yet where down 1-2 after it. France did not even have a single shot if you do not count the penalty but had 2 goals. Football can be cruel.

You are probably too young to know it, but France had its share of bad luck, especially the Platini's team. But even in 2006 for last WC from Zidane. At that time, France was playing, i guess they learnt the lesson, and have one more star now.

I think what Croatia has done making it to the final has to be considered more impressive than Iceland making the world cup.

yea FRA got all the luck today, CRO had nothing going there way. Griezman dove for the free kick, maybe another day it doesnt get called. Croatia was better team in first half, but got hit with counters in 2nd half because they were trying to score

I'm from Iceland and I agree with you. What Croatia did was really impressive

Uruguay is probably for me still the most impressive team when you consider the population ( 3.44 mill ). They have won Worldcup 2 times and multiple times gotten far in the worldcup
