Yup, really bad lapses in all three instances. And we're not even remotely good enough to screw up like that. We needed to play a really air-tight game from here on out and weren't even close.

About what I expected. Not a horrible performance from the US, but one where they're obviously the worse team.

This set us back 20 years. There’s no excuse to lose to the Dutch.

Damn, I guess there's 16 teams that have been set back 50 years, and seven more about to be set back 2O years.

This team sucks man. I know nothing about soccer but we have no play makers and Haji should have started.

Bit of an overreaction, US we're always underdogs to the Dutch, it just sucks because they had two golden opportunities and the goals given up were defenders falling asleep.

US just needs to find a true striker, we have a bunch of wingers and mids, but no one I'd trust with the ball in the box to create.

Who is good on our team? Pulisic is overrated. The coach doesn’t know how to manage the bench. I’m just saying we have no play makers

that's an outrageous comment. they are way better than us and outclassed the youngest team in the tournament by a long shot

The US is what it is. A young team that had expectations of getting to the knockout round. They did it, just like South Korea or Japan or Morocco or a bunch of other teams that will probably lose in a few days.

If that makes them failures too so be it. In the end there will be be 31 failures.

You can't play defense like this and call it bad day. This is not bad luck, thats just lack of competence.

Well, crap...got no nation left that I have a tie with to root for...guess I'll adopt Japan

Agreed, it just stings because this was an absolute winnable game. If the Dutch just dominated on the pitch, like the scoreline, there'd be less anger.

That Pulisic miss to start the game changed the entire dynamic. They go up 1-nil, Holland is now on the ropes.

But we all know, the world's game is a cruel, cruel game.
