And what difference does it make if we paid 30 million pounds or 20? Arsenal has more than enough money to spend.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread 3.0
Lol at Xhaka being a marginal improvment over the likes of Flamini and Coquelin
Also worst transfer out of those listed seems Sterling to me.

flamini and coquelin would be massive improvement for mainz that doesnt mean you are going to spend 40 million euros on them. all relative.

Yes, but it's not like Arsenal's money are infinite. If you spend 30 on Xhaka you have less money for striker and defender.
Xhaka is a good player and a clear improvement but he shouldn't be the first priority in Arsenal's transfer window, actually he should be the last signs.
If MU, MC or even Chelsea (Conte likes a lineup with 3 midfielder) buy Xhaka for 45 milion I have nothing to say but Arsenal?

We don't have a midfielder like Xhaka and we need one. We were reliant on Kos to bring the ball from the back now we gave a guy that basically does coqs and Elbert's job in one go. He's a huge signing.

Until he is the coach, Arsenal will not win anything that really matter.
we need a cm so he bought a cm... the squad improves with the signing lol
i've never seen people go so crazy about a fee arsenal have paid before lol. Its not something i'm use to lol. This is literally the 3rd time the club have ever spent anything more than 18M pounds on a player.Spoiler:
Honestly I think you are right , but I also think it's fair to with hold judgement until he actually plays for us so we see what happens. We are in a new era now and I don't think it's right to look at past fees to judge whats now or later.

our need at CM is much bigger than the need at CB and we can live without signing a fullback. We spent barely anything last summer and made insane revenue this season and a handful of players are coming off the wages. Both positions can be solved if the targets are available.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread 3.0
Our midfield was completely disgusting and pathetic last season. It was our biggest issue this year and I think if you watched us as much as I or other arsenal fans do you would think , "god damn they finally got some help" instead of "sooo much spent"
teams would just let us have the ball and coquelin/flamini would not know what to do in possession and we were the easiest team to defend.

Neither of them would be an improvement for Mainz.
Coquelin even failed to find a starting spot in Freiburg two years ago.

Coquelin would be the biggest name ever to transfer to mainz, if you had the money or allure.

Maybe you can live without a FB, but without a very good CB Arsenal is in serious danger...
The managment should be careful in this transfer window: if they don't use wisely the money, next year with Chelsea, United, City + Liverpool, Leicester and Tottenham you guys may not qualify for UCL.

I am sorry that I unintentionally offended you. I guess it really hurts your team is getting destroyed by better clubs now.
To clarify, you said you dont believe vardy is going to arsenal. And told me not to believe what some newspapers that i read. Fine. But then why on the earth you come to arsenal thread and putting vardy's photo with arsenal jersey if you told me its only newspapers speculation and he won't leave leicester?
Where is the logic in that? I'll tell you the logic. You already know he is gone. You know you are supporting a small club which will never succeed again in your lifetime. You and every leicester fans mothers know that if there is an offer from bigger clubs, none of your players will stay in leicester. You're in denial but welcome to the real world.

You're funny. Sad but funny.
Can't see where Leicester have been destroyed by better clubs perhaps you'll explain. Last I heard we won the league by 10 points and since then haven't played.
Vardy said he was staying at Leicester, I believe him. You, like the media have jumped on a wagon and declared him gone. Ive read from several sources that he's already agreed a deal and is just waiting on the medical, unlike you I'll wait until it happens before I believe it. There are a thousand reports in the media everyday about players signing who haven't even been approached. If he goes it will be because he has been offered a ludicrous amount of money and I wouldn't blame him. £80,000 a week is already an incredible amount but if Arsenal want to pay him £120,000 or Liverpool £140,000 for a 4 year deal then, at 30, he would be crazy to turn down an extra £8m or £12m.
I've come on here to ask the Arsenal fans what they think because it's a discussion board and it's the hot Prem topic of the day. "Experts" are divided some saying he is ideal others saying he won't fit the Arsenal style. I'd like to hear what the fans who watch Arsenal day in and day out think. Would he be used up front on his own, in a 2 with Giroud, out wide
I've tried to answer your above questions respectfully. The last paragraph seems to be a crazy rant. I've stated in other threads that I never expected Leicester to win the league in my lifetime and that I certainly don't expect us to do it again. It's a bit like a Turkish supporter thinking about his team winning the Euros (let alone the World Cup). As for your final sentence - how stupid can a poster be? most of the Leicester players will stay at Leicester this season. I'll tell you what - if they all leave I'll paypal you £100,000 and if they don't all leave you paypal me £100,000. Deal?

You are contradicting yourself man. You are saying it's just speculation. Then you are coming here to ask if he would be successful at Arsenal. LOL. Pick one side. It's either speculation which is what you are saying so why are we speaking about something which is not true and will not become permanent? It's like talking about how Cr7 would do at Leicester. If you think it's all pure bs, media speculation and vardy is not leaving(you have said these three), then why are you asking how he would do at arsenal?
Last Euro we qualified, we did better than England. England couldn't even qualify for Euro 08. Croatia destroyed your loser national team in which we destroyed them in Euro 08.

Believing one thing doesn't mean that you can't talk about hypotheticals, there's no harm in it. HIF, despite believing that Vardy will stay at Leicester, was just trying to start some discussion with the Arsenal fans here because it's a relevant topic. It's not like he's picked a crazy topic out of thin-air, like Wilshere to Spurs or Sol Campbell for London mayor.
As for Ronaldo going to Leicester, I think we can all agree he would be second choice winger behind Albrighton.
