20 points ahead of 5th - double the points of 5th. Truly incredible.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Nice win...and we were able to do it with some subs in there. Awesome.

I wish I could enjoy this season more...but I'm just locked in and stressed. Next game Sat. Gotta win.

Another nice win. Keep em coming! Rest, and get ready for next one. Sit the starters for this dumb CL game please!!!

Still have over half the season left....stay focused on the Prem. Eye on the prize....

Ehh, noooo.

We wanna be seen as on of the biggest football clubs in the world - resting the starters in a deciding game for qualification to the knockout stage is not an option. I'll prefer to win the league aswell, but we saw from february through may that the team were more than competent to compete in both the Prem and the ChL. None of this small club mentality. We can and shall compete in both. Being eliminated by Salzburg in a 6-match group stage would be a travesty...

We changed five players for the Everton game and then changed seven players for the Bournemouth game. We have Watford on saturday which should be winable even if we changed all prefered starters. After the Salzburg and Watford game we then have a joke of a match vs Aston Villa in Carabao - prob playing the youth. And ofc at the same time the club world cup in Qatar, semi the 18th and final or bronze game the 21st before an important away game vs Leicester the 26th.

vs Salzburg:

Alisson
Trent - Gomez - Virgil - Robbo
Hendo
Gini - Ox
Salah - Firmino - Mane

Maybe Origi instead of Firmino and Keita in the midfield - otherwise the 11 man Klopp trust the most.

Then we could play like this vs Watford:

Alisson
Trent - Gomez (Lovren if ready) - Virgil - Robbo
Gini
Keita - Milner
Shaq - Origi - Mane

So shouldn't our bench be up for the task? If we're suddenly this giant of football, then get that bench out there, and let them prove it.

I got no beef with that lineup. Works for me.

Firmino, Henderson and Salah should def be ready to go though.....just in case.

Note: I would rest Virgil and Robbie the CL game though. Give them a rest. Be fresh for Watford.

Suddenly? Two champions league finals in a row, won it last year. 97 point in the league and on a historic stretch. Fact is, Salzburg is a do or die game. Gotta go all in on that. If Klopp thinks Origi, Keita, Shaq are the best fit for that, i trust him. But don't doubt Klopp will select the 11 he believes are the strongest for the game - and i imagine that being the usual ones. :-)

Both Virgil and Robbo are playing for sure, most likely in both games - Salzburg and Watford. Salzburg are no joke. I understand winning the Prem would be 10 times bigger for us, the supporters, but the chl is what defines a club on a more global scale. Can't let Salzburg elimate us. I fear their might do so. Should've just won that freaking Napoli game ffs. :noway: :-)

Not interested in arguing. Liverpool are in a good place. 2 straight CL finals is really nice. To me, the historic run don't mean squat, till we hit the finish-line first. Till then, we're just having a good start.

But until they pull stars from big teams (and not the constant vice-versa) I don't consider them one of the 'giants'. You can...I don't. I will admit that it's a good sign we haven't lost anyone in last year or two. But let's see if Mane get's plucked by Barca or MC or Real this offseason.

My opinion isn't super popular with other fans....but I could give a rip about the CL. Couldn't care less this year. I'd rather we lost on Wed, if it means concentrating on the Prem. I've watched this squad get gassed come Jan, too many times, and lose their momentum. If we win the Prem...we'll be back in the CL next year anyhow.

And I'm not saying I'm right. I just don't care about CL. I think the Prem should be our first, second, and third priority. Screw all these other games. Let our bench guys get some time, and if they get us through....we'll take it from there.

So glad Naby is coming on strong.

I seriously contemplated buying his kit when he first came over last season. I decided to wait until he proved himself on the field. Unfortunately, last season was such an injury riddled one for him that he didn’t make an imprint on the team.

Now he’s had a string of clutch plays and we finally get to see him proving himself. I love Fabinho and his defense, but I’m glad Naby’s prowess is giving us the edge offensively. Feels good to have someone other than Bobby who consistently create chances for others in the middle of the pitch.

Wtf....Why? :sigh:

Let's at least get to March/April before we declare anything around here.

It's completely lost now. We're F*****.

At least we know who to blame.

I’m cringing hard at all of the pundits talking about us having it wrapped up. Last year was proof enough that it’s not over until it’s over.

Anything can happen, especially with injuries. Thankfully we’ve been holding our own without Fabinho but he’s definitely missed. We cannot afford to lose any more key players for extended periods of time. I hope Mo’s ankle issues are behind him and won’t linger for the rest of the season.

Yeah, I'm totally on board with Dan. We can't get ahead of ourselves. Still way too many games left to go & way too much time to somehow **** it up again.

I currently see it as a 2 man race (Leicester). But again, its still only December & anything can happen.

I wouldn't count out City. They are capable of winning 15-18 games in a row - unlikely, but can happen.

And Leicester looking hella strong.

Klopp just extended his contract by the way till 2024! A living legend.

Keita brings something different. He is still a bit unsecure on the first touch if he is pressured. But as soon as he is turned around and faces the goal, he is able to make plays that Gini, Hendo, Fabinho, Milly - even Ox to some extent aren't. The drive he has with the ball is a freaking pleasure to watch.

Fingers crossed he stays healthy. So many injuries already. I would really like to see a midfield with Fabinho, Ox and Keita all at their best, maybe we will when Fabinho comes back. I think Klopp is a bit hestitant to play both Keita and Ox together as CM's and wants either Hendo or Gini alongside one of them. Fingers crossed he decides to play Gini/Hendo at the 6 and then Keita and Ox as 8's vs Watford.

Welcome to Minamino by the way. I haven't watched him play in the Austrian League, but he deffo looked like a star in the making in the Champions League. Bargain for 7,5m pounds.
